Fantastic read for any sports fan
I am 51 and have been a Blackpool Supporter all my life so knew a lot of what was going on. This book reveals so much more and is written in a very unbiased way. This can be read even if you're not a sports fan and is a great record of a truly horrific period in our clubs history

A damning indictment
On the surface, this is a fast paced narrative of how a town (and a Latvian millionaire) managed to prise a treasured local asset from the tight grip of a family ill-equipped to run it for the benefit of anything but their own nefarious purposes. Reading deeper, we see the abject failure of the footballing authorities to support the community and the fans when the assets were so obviously being comprehensively stripped from the club. We see appalling business practices undertaken out of incompetence and sheer spite. We see the law being used to silence any vocal opposition, reducing it to the tool of rich men to bully and to crush. This book needs to be read by those in power at both the Football League and the Premiership, along with anyone in government with responsibility for sport administration. The book is a tribute to those who stood up to be counted. It's well written and well researched

A must for every fan of football
Illustrates what can happen when the one family own a club and the governing bodies don't care. Every fan should read it because certainly in the lower leagues it could happen to your club too

A great read for any football fan.
You don't have to be a Blackpool fan to read this book. What happened to our club could easily happen to any other. That family took our team to the brink of extinction through greed and the author has painstakingly done his research and documented in a manner that makes it impossible to put the book down. Onwards and upwards for Blackpool Football Club. Well written Nathan Fogg.
