Works on raccoons
Our pond was under siege. The neighborhood trash pandas had been having pool parties and the occasional blue heron. We couldn't have any nice things. No plants in our pond ,they would rip up our lilies and just pull all the water lettuce and hyacinths out of the pond to drag into the yard. We tried everything. We shot at raccoons with a paintball gun. Worked for a while, but they they just figured out to come by at about 3-4 in the morning. Put netting over the pond. Kept the herons out,but the raccoons used it as a trampoline. They still were able to get to the lillies with their creepy little human hands, and eventually stretched it out and made holes. Then my husband made "bear boards" to go around the entire pond. They worked, but were really ugly (see picture) I was also worried about grandkids. We had talked about an electric fence, but we thought it would have to go all the way around to complete the circuit. We have a big lace leaf maple that we would have had to destroy to do that. So that was a big nope. BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT!!! you can stretch it out however long you need and then circle it back. We did leave some of the bear boards up because we couldn't make the complete circle.Game changer!!!! Definatly would reccomend. P.S. Also would suggest getting a trail cam (which we did) so you can get some funny videos. However, they figure it out pretty quick. We also got a Gallagher fence sensor, which lights up when the fence is on, and a timer. Hope this all helps.

Needs more Power.
Could easily be a 5 star product if the fence energizer had more power. Package comes with aPE 2 Energizer. Fine for chipmunks or rabbits. If using to deter squirrels, dogs, raccoons, possum,In my opinion not enoughPower/shock. You need to upgrade to a PE 5 Energizer. The problem is the package sold on Amazon only offers the PE2. You need to buy the package, then buy an additional Energizer separately. Needs to be sold or repackaged with more Energizer options.

Shocked the living hell out of them!!!
Holy crap!! The screams from the raccoons woke the whole neighborhood up!!! After raccoons destroying my koi pond I was out for blood. Fortunately, the only blood was the blood curdling screams of the same damn raccoons who destroyed my pond just days before. Must have brought smiles to my koi who were helpless against the masked trash pandas who ate their brothers and sisters leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Would give 5 stars for another 50’ of cable to block any conceivable passageways to the fish, but I rest well knowing that my fish are safe as long as patriot is in the job.

Yes, it works - Don't touch it while standing in wet grass barefoot.
I was hesitant to order based on the reviews of "very little shocking power". Sure enough, just after I installed it, I held the wire and let it shock me. It didn't feel GOOD, but wasn't really impressive, either. But, I figured I would give it a full tryout anyway. A few months later and none of my crops have been eaten by rabbits or groundhogs, so it's obviously working.I would not suggest testing the shock in this method, but I accidentally touched the wire while barefoot standing on wet grass. IT HURT..... A LOT!!!!

Easy to setup
Used this to keep raccoons from climbing up bird feeders. Had a family of raccoons that seemed to be able to climb almost any baffle or obstacle put in their way. Fenced off area around the feeder and haven't seen any raccoons. It will also work against squirrels, as I saw one try to creep under wiring and it jumped about 2 feet in the air, and ran off, when it touched the wire. The construction seems to be really good. I placed my on the ground near feeders.

Kept the geese and ducks out of my pond!
It was a miracle solution. We had to drain and clean our pond once a week because the geese and ducks would not stay out of it. Even though it was only a small garden pond, 19' x 8' it still took 3500 gallons of water to fill it so whe we had to drain it every time and clean, it took all weekend. This was a miracle solution! We had tried bird netting which looked tacky and did not work, so this was our only solution. Not only does it work fantastically, it is barely visible. The green stakes fade into the foliage, and the wire disappears. The only thing I had to improve on was purchasing more WARNING labels to put around the fence since it only came with 1 label. Very pleased with this product.

Works well.
Product works good however could use use at least a 100' of string, (only 65 included) , also strength could be a bit increased.

It’s keeping the raccoons out of the pond
Very easy to set up. There’s just a tingle when you touch the fence. Needn’t be concerned about hurting even small animals. But it seems to be enough to discourage the raccoons that were wrecking my pond. The only gripe I would have would be the flimsy poles. They’re fine to run the fence in a straight line but you’ll need to reinforce with a stout wooden stake at the corners.

Perfect garden protection
Well packaged and arrived quickly. Easy to set up instructions. After confirming all connections were correct and the ground post clamp on, the fence ran with absolutely no issues. Everything I needed to protect my fruit trees from the raccoons that usually get up there and destroy the crop.
