Inspiring
This book takes a look at the author's fascinating journey of self-discovery and physical healing. She states: "When we have constructed our lives around one way of seeing the world, it can be hard that another way of living or thinking can be equally 'real'." Indeed, it can be. This authorβs initial serious medical diagnosis forced her to change the way she perceived her own world. βChange your Mind, Heal your Bodyβ is an enlightening and transformational book about the power of the mind.

This book will change your life
This book was recommended to me by a friend - I have since recommended it in turn to five more. It's articulate, intelligent and extraordinary, not only for Anna's remarkable story of her own healing but in its lucid explanation of how we can all heal ourselves physically and mentally. Although the author's own inoperable tumour shrank to insignificance, the book does not discard allopathic medicine, but teaches us to use healing alongside it. This book is for anyone who lives in the world and has felt any pain - in other words, everyone.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED A MUST READ
I really enjoyed this book especially when the author allows the reader to share past memories and experiences, like how the author sees and perceives life from a different point of view and how she has to go inside her mind after finding out she has a brain tumour which the specialists want to remove by surgery. How she started reading up on healing and using different forms of spiritual exercises and with mindset and reading upon the subject eventually found a solution., Because the subconscious mind makes no distinction between physical and emotions she realised by using meditation as medicine she was able to turn her thoughts inwards and find her own way of dealing with the problem. Embarking on this journey was able to heal her brain and mind herself, something which everyone can do when they become ill. Your body and mind are capable of healing themselves you just have to believe.

The title was a little misleading. I thought the author would mostly give advice to the readers on how to heal themselves as she did. This book is really a kind of very personal autobiography or diary documenting all the ups and downs, the problems, the many therapies and wrong diagnosis she experienced. I found it really very lengthy and mostly not interesting because it was also about very personal family matters. Only at the end of the book, in the last 40 pages, I could find interesting advice.

Deeply grateful I found this book.
How can someone adequately thank a writer for guiding you to healing? This book is a miracle. Use itπ. Thank you Anna for your honesty.

Interesting and helpful
I took my time to read this book and found it worth the time spent on it.The earlier part of the book is quite autobiographical, and clearly explains the author's developing illness, a brain tumor, and as she is not really helped by the conventual healthcare system, how she is thrust upon her own devices. The book takes us upon a journey of exploration as she seeks help wherever she may find it. Through contacts with various healers she enters upon the power of healing that we each have within our reach. Her eventual contact with Martin Brofman was very significant to further her upon this journey.Taking daily time for meditation and entering into touch with one's own body and learning to own one's life-history become tools for empowerment and healing.Eventually, Anna becomes a healer herself, and the knowledge she acquired she uses for helping others with healing. All this is well-explained and helps to illustrate the theme of her book. She has also learned that some things are beyond us, but that there is a power that transcends humanity and yet with whom each of us can interact and from whom each can ask for help. She considers that humanity has taught this in its various ancient traditions and that people of various religions address this power. At the end of the book is an appendix of more than forty pages that provide various practical exercises, especially breathing exercises, and advice. She ends with a few pages on prayer as it is practiced in totally different religions and various peoples.I quite liked this book.

Amazing story
we have an untapped resource in our own mind if we could just clear the way, all of us would be spending far less time in the doctors office.

Change your life!
Anna Parkinson through her own pain, triumphs, disasters and incredible healing has exposed the tip of the iceberg to those who are unaware of what the whole iceberg has to offer. ' In the beginning was the Word' This powerful account of how she healed a large brain tumour without medical intervention will inspire and delight you to be able to heal yourself emotionally or physically. A beautifully written read you will earn or even if you already knew how the body and mind are profoundly connected, through her words and subsequently your own words you will see this first hand.

Have an open mind.
There is a lot of very easily readable material in this book which gives you good guidance in attempting to try this method.Philosphical theories are always dependant on the view of each reader but I think there is a lot of truth in, ' mind over matter' and this really takes it a step further into a more spiritual field. A good proportion of the book is about the cause and process of Anna Parkinson's journey to the point of writing the book .This book was much easier to read than the book Anything Can Be Healed by Martin Brofman, one of her mentors and she covers some of his work in a more simplified way.Perhaps it is just me but the only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because when I had finished reading it, ( very quickly) I had the sense that it was written by a a calm counsellor and I wanted to to be left feeling excited and inspired, which I wasn't. However there is a lot of food for thought here, so if you are interested in this field, it is a useful book.
