Handy good quality hex key set
I've had similar hex key sets to this and this is very similar to what I've had in the past (think Harbor Freight type set). They are pretty solid, the plastic for the housing may feel little cheap, but in other than the name plate falling off, this has been a decent set to keep in the 'junk drawer' in the kitchen for those times you need a hex key for something in the house. The keys all stay together and that's the best part of this set. No problems with metal stripping or wearing down.

Sunex product rebranded Gearwrench
These Allen keys/L-key are not made by Sunex. They are exactly the same as the gearwrench set. The GearWrench set cost much less, at this time, than the Sunex. I don’t like the holding case or how it snaps together with cheap plastic tab. I know it going to break very quickly. The Gearwrench set as a ball on the long end of the socket and the Sunex do not. I do plant on return these after using them twice. I’ll stick with Wiha or Wera L-keys from now on!Check it out for your self but don’t spend the extra money on this Sunex name tool. I suggest only buying Sunex impact sockets.Good Luck!

compact for all common pieces
Sunex 98517F SAE/Metric/ 17 Piece Folding Hex Key SetI keep loosing my other sets that is detachable. this one is large enough that I can't miss it.this set is great because it is all bound together. however, it is hard to use on tight spaces. It is a good compliment to my other set.For 80% of the usage this is really good. and it has both SAE and Metrix styles.Good grip and easy to find the piece I need.I would recommend it.

2-in-1 Set!
Perhaps I should have read the product description a little closer before I ordered this product... but I was very pleasantly surprised when this showed up and the box contained two separate hex key tools! Included is a standard hex key set and a metric hex key set, each with a distinct color to make it easy to identify which set you are grabbing before you start fiddling with the individual hex keys. The separate and distinct tools make it incredibly easy to work with these tools. Given that, this product is a great deal out of the gate! From a quality perspective, the hex keys themselves are plenty durable and more than capable of meeting our needs in assembling kids toys and smaller furniture items in our household. That said, the plastic housing on the tools is very rigid, constructed of the type of plastic that is somewhat slick to the touch and prone to cracking and splintering should it be dropped on a hard surface. This is a major drawback to this tool given the slick grip on the plastic makes it more likely the tool will be dropped eventually... As a result, it seems inevitable that this tool will end up with some damage.Additionally, during my first uses with the hex key sets I noticed each hex key had a surprising amount of oil left on it from the manufacturing process. To avoid a mess I eventually cleaned the tools to address this problem, but I feel like this is something the manufacturer should care for prior to shipping a product out. I shouldn't end up with greasy hands from simply opening a tool straight out of the box, that's for sure.In short, this tool set is a good deal for a set of hex keys that do what they should, but it isn't without its drawbacks. As a result, it earns 4/5 stars, overall!

Compact, and easy to use Hex key set
This is really good set of hex keys. First, they color coded the SAE or metric so it is easy to distinguish between the two. They key operates easily and and folds back up easily. I really liked that there are size designations so you can get the right size the first time, or figure out the size of the bolt you are working on. The handle is big enough to grip. This seems to be a well made set. Also with the keys being chrome vanadium steel I expect them to last a while. This is a great set to have in you tool bag as you never know what you will need. Additionally so much easier than finding the right hex key from the bag of miscellaneous ones I have. This is a great little set!

Handy set of hex keys
Very convenient to use set of metric and SAE hex keys. Material is grippy, but is basically hard plastic. Keys are regular straight, there's no ball on the end. With a set like this you're not going to lose random keys like in L type ones where they are all separate, but the tradeoff is that there's sometimes clearance issues due to the large handle, so keep that in mind. Key folding/unfolding action is very smooth. The main problem is that the numbers of each key are very hard to see as they are indented in the plastic, making them the same color. This does mean that they won't rub off with use, but it also makes them really hard to read under some lighting conditions. Most of the other similar key sets do use a contrasting color, and it would have been nice to see a white infill here.

So many sizes of hex key
(Review of Sunex 98517F SAE/Metric 17 Piece Folding Hex Key Set)It's a little bit unclear from the description, but this set actually includes 2 separate sets of folding hex keys: one for SAE and one for metric. The red one is SAE and the blue one is metric. It's nice that they're color-coded so you can easily tell them apart. Each set includes A LOT of different sizes. Honestly, I'll probably never even need all these different sizes of hex keys. But I'm happy to finally have a proper set of these, instead of just using random hex keys leftover from assembling store-bought furniture. So far, my only complaint is that some of hex keys are really hard to fold out. One of them was so stuck that I had to use a screwdriver to pry it up & out. I hope it'll loosen up a bit with time & use.
