This is an excellent brush even if it were higher priced; at the actual price, it is a bargain. The bristles are soft enough to be comfortable, but dense enough to deal with short-to-medium length hair. The curved shape, which fits the shape of one's head, brings all of the bristles into play and not just some of them. The body of the brush is comfortable in one's hand. I have used the brush now for about a month, and so far it has not shed a single bristle.

I bought this brush for my dog. The bristles are soft, which is what I wanted so as not to hurt her skin. She likes the brush too, sits until I stop brushing. She is an Australian cattle dog so has medium hair. Works well.

I actually bought this brush for my puppy, but I tried it on my head first. I gotta say ( coming from a barber ) this brush is awesome! The curve makes a huge difference!!! Ordering a second one for myself. Thank you!

One thing that’s never mentioned in shopping for beard brushes is the importance of finding the right stiffness level. For me, this is the ideal beard brush; it’s medium-soft as far as the bristles, so I can brush my beard for hours and never feel any irritation. I personally find it has just the right amount of backbone to train my hairs straight. I’ve tried stiffer (and more expensive) beard-specific brushes (Zilberhaar, etc) and found that they end up turning my cheeks raw. I can imagine they might work if you want to quickly and angrily detangle a chest-length bear down to the navel, but for me, someone who has a medium-length beard (and who enjoys brushing), this one fits perfectly. Not to mention the perfect shape of this brush- not only does this military-style brush have more bristles/surface area, it’s gently curved to fit the angles of my chin. Turns out the cheapest beard brush is also the most perfect.

I bought this brush to travel with me. But I do not take it out the house. It is actually soft. Perfect for laying down the frizz.

My rescue cat is suspicious of anything new and needed brushing. The bristles on this brush are just firm enough to go through his fur without being too stiff or scratchy -- the only problem is he doesn't want me to stop! It gets rid of the loose shedding hair and the size is just right to hold in the palm of your hand and not be intimidating, so perfect for a skittish pet. An all around nice product.

I have a sensitive scalp. The medium brushes are too rough. This is very soft and gentle.

The bristles of this brush are true to the advertised claims...soft but not too soft. The shape is contoured to your hand and head. Natural materials and a good product.
