We have a gate that we've been needing a lock for. However, everything we've tried either is difficult to use or just a cheaply made lock.We are glad that we found this as it is the absolute best. It's very secure, professionally made, and works perfect with ease. It's very nice looking too (see pictures). The lock has some key features that we needed.-we can either keep the gate unlocked and just lock when needed to. Or...-we can have it locked at all times so when we close the gate it is locked without having to insert a key or enter code. So easy. Other locks we've seen you have to unlock it to get out then go to the other side when leaving and lock again to secure it. Not this....we just unlock to get out and close the gate; IT'S LOCKED.We can also change from keeping it locked or unlocked by simply just pressing the buttons.No batteries needed either so it will never go dead. This lock works great for us. It's exactly what we've been looking for.Lastly we had a question so contacted them; their customer service is impeccable. We are now planning on use these locks on some doors also. We definitely recommend this lock.

I can't say enough good things about this lockset. It is a joy to open the box and hold the equipment in your hands. It's heavy. It's beautiful. And the design is clever and easy to change the combination.The instructions are clean and clear, and the manufacturer included little things that make a big difference:–TWO latches for different backsets – instead of ONE latch that can be used for either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" backsets by twisting the mechanism. Yuck.–Three sets of screws for different door thicknesses.–Tweezers to help change the pins that determine the combination.One thing I didn't consider is the vertical length of the lockset. I have an iron gate that came with a simple gravity latch that can be padlocked. Not very convenient for a main entry gate. I bought a standard steel lockbox to take to a welder instead of the proprietary one sold by the same company because I didn't want a non-standard box in case I didn't like the lockset. Big mistake. I love the lockset and had to "McGuyver" a spacer out of 2x4" lumber to make it work. If I could do it again...

I purchased this mechanical combination lock for my front door to replace a cheap inferior lock of similar design I purchased on ebay last year.I noticed the difference in product quality, packaging, instructions, spare parts and service as soon as I opened the Amazon box!! All parts are included (including a small pair of tweezers for changing the key code) along with some extra parts just in case you mess up.I paid a few dollars more for JOUNJIP's mechanical lock than the broken lock from eBay, but I got a much better-quality product. Do it yourself home projects are not my specialty -- but because of the lock and component design and the detailed instructions, I was able to install this lock myself without the added expense of hiring a locksmith, more than making up the price difference.JOUNJIP's lock has a square spindle, which is much easier to work with than the typical flat spindle and extension posts (spacers) which make it easier to attach the two sides of the lock together while also holding the keypad side of lock in place during the installation. This was literally a one-person job, while my previous cheapie lock took two handymen and required a replacement flat spindle shipped from the manufacturer!!The lock features a Passage Mode Option which temporarily deactivates the need to enter in a code. This is great for guests or for bringing in the groceries.I cannot praise JOUNJIP's customer service/tech support enough. I had a question about the installation, and they patiently walked me through it. This is one of the reasons why JOUNJIP's products are the highest rated mechanical combination locks sold on Amazon.

Very easy to change the passcode and install. I was expecting something big and beefy but this thing is dainty. For size comparison I took a picture with my hand, thumb, and iphone 15 next to it. As you can see, it does not cover the standard size lockbox hole. I would like to have an option of using my existing deadbolt or provide the customer with a proprietary deadbolt.

The lock and handle are beautiful and quite solid. I love that you don't need a battery for the lock. The seller was amazing. We were a tad off on our measuring of our door. We called the seller and they sent us the parts we needed to make this lock and handle work for us.

We bought these to help keep our special needs child safe at home. He can escape and does not understand danger. We used these on each of the doors and put 2 on each door. They are super sturdy and exactly what we needed. The codes are easy to use and learn. The only thing is the springs can get away from you pretty quickly if you are not careful when you are installing them. We plan on buying more of these to use on a gate as well since it is so perfect for the front and back doors.

I first ordered a double lock, only to realize I didn’t need a key pad on the inside of my yard. I called their customer service and a real person answered and talked me through my options. I could have put the inside pad in bypass mode, but that is sort of a waste of a keypad. She suggested I return it and order a single pad.Which I did. Arrived in 24 hours. When I installed it, the inside handle wouldn’t moved. I called their customer service again and he video chatted with me. I had just overtightened a screw. I made the adjustment and it works great!Both times the customer service was amazing. And the lock looks and works perfectly!!

Great solid product!I had my contractor install it for me. However they had some trouble understanding the English instruction. I reached out to the seller and the seller was so patient and kind walking us and guiding us through the installation. In the end, we were able to install the lock with no problem.5-star product and 5+star seller!

Worked for about a week before the locking mechanism stopped working. You can easily open both sides without the code. Screws already rusting. Total piece of junk hardware.
