used on long haired cat
Very effective with knots in fur and fluffing up fur but its important tp brush gently and patiently rather than deeply. Take care as this could damage tender skin as its heavy and made of tough metal and could put your cat off, if use heavy- handedly . Use a soft plastic brush alongside this one to balance grooming session.

this tool is amazing my big fat cat doesn't always groom herself properly and has clumps of matted fur this has solved the problem and she looks amazing. its so easy to use and i think she loves being combed

Hard to get through my cats fur
It's okay but I find it hard to get through the cats fur and because I'm having to press more to actually brush him he gets stressed and runs off. I have had a furminator in the past which I unfortunately lost, but I can say that it was much much easier to get through his fur so the end result was miles better.

Works but has limitations.
Okay, it does work but cannot access all areas of the dog/ cat with ease, and it doesn't penetrate all her fur even though she is short-haired, especially the neck region. Consequently, my house still remained covered in fur whilst using this product. I now use grooming gloves on the dog, which are great - yet to try them on the cat.

Having 3 dogs and reading the reviews I thought I would give this a try. Wasn't particularly good on my wire hair fox terrier, but proved excellent on my westie and my "many ancestors" rescue, both of which have quite long hair.

EXCELLENT WELL WORTH AS GETS RID OF ALL THE TOP COAT.Saw shedding for the birds as they use fore their nests.
