Very nice, Sturdy, Well made
I just received my FClUB empty, watercolor tin pallet case. It came in a amazon box with other things I had ordered. It was also in it's own well protected bubble rapped plastic envelope to protect it from being damaged during shipping. It has a sleek black exterior with a white interior. It comes with 28 empty full pans ready to be filled with your choice of water color paints. They are in a removeable metal insert with two roll of full pans at the top and two at the bottom where the pans clip or slide in. It also has room in the middle for a small brush or two. Not sure if you can put half pans there or more full pans. As I said the insert is removeable and you can slide the pans out if you want to customize your paints for a trip. It makes a great traveling pallet as well as a studio pallet. It has several areas to mix your paints other than the top lid it also has a fold out tray for mixing as well. It is easy to open and it is very sleek. It has a metal ring at the bottom of the tin for easy holding. Though once it is full of paint it will probably be a little heavy to hold for very long for those who has muscle weakness or Arthritics. There is nothing bad I can say about this product. I love the design and the customization of paint that it offers the artists. Would I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend to others? Yes. It is reasonably priced for under twenty dollars. Which is great for starting artist and artists that is on a budgets. I would like to see them add an options to by additional empty full or half pans along with this item not separately though but I would pay $20 to $25 for 10 or 15 more empty full pans that way it would allow more customization for artist. It would really help artists. By adding Watercolor from tubs to empty pans like these saves money that most artist may not have especially those that are just starting out. Cause art supplies especially good quality paints alone costs an arm and a leg. But other than having an option to order extra empty pans along with the 28 empty pan that is offered, would be great. I really love this watercolor tin holder. I hope that I get plenty of use out of it in the years to come. Would buy again and recommend it to any artist that wants on a budget. Thank you very much.

The best type of watercolor box.
I bought a White Nights set of 24 full pans that came in a cardboard box. This was a great choice.I love that the tray of paints is removable. It makes cleaning so much easier. Pull out the paints tray and run the whole case under water. I wouldn't want a case without that feature. The metal tabs can be bent to stop all sliding around And, you can mix full and half pans. You can also move, swap and arrange the paints as you want.It feels a little flimsy (bendy) when open but after years and many uses, no sign of breaking. Closed, it is solid. It is much more space efficient than plastic cases because the metal is thinner.I suppose a much more expensive case is better (I wouldn't know) but this one has been everything I need it to be. And I saved money to buy better paints.

Good stuff!
The media could not be loaded. I’m glad I bought this watercolor case. I had a set of paints that came in a cardboard box which quickly fell apart. I was able to fit 35 colors out of 36.It looks and feels very nice. It made of metal and has some flexibility to it, so it is easy to fill with paints. Palette is very convenient, and there is plenty of space for color mixing. It is light enough and doesn’t add too much weight to my paint set, so it is still portable. I’m happy with the purchase.

Mixing areas are not great
I've bought other FClub products that I really like, so I had high hopes for the "Empty Tin that holds 48 half pans or 28 full pans."What I liked:→The box is strong, and the package was padded to prevent denting... my box arrived blemish free on the outside. And with Prime, it arrived the next day.→All the rolled edges are well done. and smooth.→The enamel is good and you can clearly see the colors you are mixing. It cleans easily -- however, expect staining from the usual highly staining pigments.→The insert comes out, so if you want to use magnets on the bottom of your pans, you can do that... and it holds a lot of pans. The center panel is also for mixing, so the bottom has wells, but even so, you can get 30 full pans into it -- 6 in each of the 3 large areas and 2 in each of the 5 smaller ones and on the area that has the thumb ring. With half pans, 12 fit into each large area and 2 or 4 fit in the other spaces (because 2 half pans have a slightly larger footprint the 1 full pan) -- 2 if they have to sit flat, and 4 if they don't. If you have a large palette and want it all in the same place, this is a real plus. What I didn't like:→Sharp edges. I might have expected that for the price, but the description specifically says there are no sharp edges. The finger hole, all the round corners, and nearly every edge of a vertical surface on the insert that holds the paint is RAZOR sharp, as are the corners of the tabs that hold the pans. Since I don't use the insert, the finger hole is mainly what I have to remind myself about when I open and close the flap.→Every tab was bent.Tabs that are bent forward are very strong... so strong that I could barely get empty full pans out once I snapped them into the insert. I had to put my thumb inside to get leverage. Pans with paint in them would be very hard to get out without covering your thumb with pigment. This is okay if you set up your palette and don't intend to switch out pans, but if you want a pan that you can change easily, this isn't it.I found that I could make it easier to get pans out by pushing the tab to be upright before I put the pan, but then the pans didn't stay put. Again, okay if your palette is completely full, but otherwise, the pans are going to slide around.Again... not using the insert, so for me it's more like WTF, than a big problem.→The mixing areas are shallow, and mixing is what I wanted this for. Most are less than the thickness of a quarter, the 4 in the lid are slightly more than a quarter. The edges are round so it's hard to use them to empty your brush and easy to mix paint in 2 wells that you hadn't intended to mix.The lid has 4 large mixing areas. It's okay but it doesn't lie flat and paint runs downhill leading to unintended mixing. The cover flap has 8 slanted wells (again, not deep enough to mix any amount of paint you might use for anything other swatches), but because it doesn't touch the table, it bounces every time you touch it with a brush. Mine was bent, so without the lethal insert, it doesn't lie flat when it's closed. One side gets caught inside the center panel and it's hard to get it open again.I wrote to FClub and got a response from Laura, who quickly sent a replacement. She assured me that she is addressing the issue of sharp edges with the factory, so it's possible that after March 2023 this may not be a concern. Also, I attached magnets to the outside of the cover and they made those 4 mixing areas lie almost level now.

Very useful empty watercolor pallet.
It’s ready for adding your own pans filled with your own paint tube pigments. Will accommodate both full and half pans. It’s lightweight, well-made and works for both studio use and travel. Mixing wells in the lids are generous for large washes if needed.Customer service from this company is great! Will order from them again.

Pleasantly surprised
The product is essentially as described, but of a higher quality than expected. The product was appropriately packaged and arrived undamaged. I am pleasantly surprised and would recommend this pallet.

Larger Than Expected!
I was expecting the smaller (1/4?) pans, but was pleasantly surprised when I realized they were the 1/2 pans. I compared Schmincke’s 1/2 pans for a visual comparison & clearly these pans are larger. However after reading the comments, this isn’t everybody’s experience which sucks bcuz albeit I love them, I’m hesitant about re-purchasing in case I don’t get the pans I ordered.Cheers 🇨🇦
