I use this with a keytar controller that only has DIN MIDI out. It works perfectly.I can pair it directly with an iPad or Mac without a specific receiver, however the latency varies due to those devices having inherent Bluetooth midi latency. The iOS devices have higher latency than MacOS. I’m fine with the latency on MacOS (M1 Mac), but if I used this for stage purposes then I would buy a USB dongle from CME for the Mac for the absolute lowest latency.

Finally a Bluetooth MIDI device that works
I have a Yamaha GT2 digital piano and needed a Bluetooth MIDI device for connecting to my iPad app. I first purchased a Yamaha MD-BT01, believing it would work. It didn't. Apparently, the MIDI ports of my GT2 emit no power. So, I needed a powered Bluetooth MIDI device. The CME WIDI Jack offers that via USB, and it worked perfectly.
