The Gelid Solutions HeatPhase Ultra Thermal Pad is a high-performance thermal interface designed for Intel CPUs. Measuring 40x30x0.2mm, it boasts an impressive thermal conductivity of 8.5W/mk, ensuring efficient heat dissipation. Its user-friendly design allows for easy application and removal, making it ideal for both novices and experts. The pad is ultra-durable, non-curing, and non-electrically conductive, providing reliable performance without the risk of electrical damage.

Very consistent temps
I cut mine a little smaller for my GPU and it works great. The temperatures are very consistent after a few heat cycles, and the performance is about the same as OEM but maybe the fans are quieter but it's hard to tell since I cleaned the 6yr old thermal paste off the GPU.

Ultra thin! Works well on many CPU's.
A very thin, good quality, silicone heatsink pad; great for applications such as my own Dell Inspiron Mini1010 rebuild. Its a tiny, passive-cooled notebook computer that gets very hot in a short time, and it needs the best level of conductive heat transfer possible. I was able to get the correct heatsink pad thickness where needed, on the mainboard hot-chips. If too thick, it would cause the keyboard to bow upwards and pop loose. The keyboard is the heatsink in this design, so it has to have correct mass of heat-conductor between it and the chips, or else it will burn out its cpu (this happened to me last time). Soms chips on this Intel Atom N260 equipped pcb require very thick pads, and some require much thinner ones. Some even require a silicone pad, just in the middle size range. This Gelid brand silicone product helps you find that perfect depth of material that you need. Its possibly the thinnest one Ive ever encountered.I am thrilled to have my dell mini netbook back in service now, thanks to the Gelid Solutions super thin silicone heatsink pad.

Easy application, no mess
This review is for the item "Gelid Solutions HeatPhase Ultra Compatible with Intel, 40x30x0.2mm, 8.5W/mk Thermal Pad for CPU, Easy Application, Non-Electrical Conductive, Color Gray". If you see this review on a different item, then there are either multiple item options, or the listed item was changed.I decided to try this out instead of the usual thermal paste approach, because it is difficult to get thermal paste applied evenly and uniformly. This pad takes that out of the equation. It just managed to cover the whole of my new 12th gen Intel CPU, which is larger than previous generations. After attaching the cooler, CPU temps are about where expected, not running hot at idle. I will definitely be getting more of these for future builds.

Where has this been all of my career?
Forget about the messy thermal paste - this stuff takes it's place, doesn't get all over the place, and doesn't harden to a cement-like substance like most thermal pastes do after extended use. Fantastic invention!

A lot easier than thermal paste - no immediate issues
Got some old equipment with hot processors - and the thermal paste I used became hard and dry.Installed this on one of the positions and have the other using some new thermal paste that supposedly does not dry and cake.In any case, this was much easier to use and no mess.No temp issues so far. Won't know too much about how it holds up over time till, well, a few years? Will try to remember to update if I encounter any issues.

Good pad
This thermal pad works well if you don't want to deal with paste when installing a CPU. It was a bit hard to take the film off but it seems to have almost similar temps to when I used a paste.

Buy a tube of thermal paste instead
I guess I didn't read the description well enough, as I thought this was a reusable thermal pad.Instead, it can be described as just the perfect size and amount of thermal paste to be applied on an LGA 1700 Intel CPU, sandwiched between two thin sheets of plastic. The paste was stuck to the white plastic film and would not come off easily, and yes I followed the instructions of applying it to the CPU and rubbing it with a credit card, but that still did not do the trick. I ended up with a CPU partially covered in thermal compound.Overall it was a disappointing experience. Maybe if it did go on easily it would have been better, but even if it did, I don't believe this is good value compared to a similarly priced tube of good thermal paste which can be used for multiple applications.

Great Heatpad for CPUs
I used this on a 7800x3d because as I get older, I am tired of having to deal with thermal paste, so I opt for these types of solutions. Sure, the paste, when properly applied, can have better thermal cooling… but when we are talking 3-4 degrees with a potential mess on my hands, I'll take the hit! This material clung to the CPU with no issue once sized appropriately and cooled just like my other thermal pads, so it’s a great cooler in that respect. The product’s value compared to the price though is great because it not only has the Gelid name behind it, but it comes in at a greater value for a single thermal pad.
