They melt scented wax.
Yes I have purchased other bulbs for my plug in wax warmer and they did not get hot enough to melt the wax. These bulbs are great and they work. That is all I can ask for.

Pro. It melts the wax. My grandson gave me a plug-in light with a wax melting feature.The bulb I had did not melt the wax, so I went looking for new bulbs.Again, they melt the wax and light the kitchen in the evening.Even if each bulb last a month or two they are worth it for the lovely scent.Now I had to go out and buy more wax.

If one bulb doesn't get hot enough to melt wax try a different one from the pack.
I use these for melting wax & I think they'd also be great for salt lamps. The first bulb I tried worked but didn't get very hot (so now it's a lamp). The second bulb melted wax nicely.
