DIamonds are forever!
First things first. This portable speaker is one of the smallest i owned and yet feels really substantial. The general rule of thumb in buying any kind of audio product is to feel the weight, the heavier it is, the more assured you are of it's audio capabilities. This thing weighs roughly more than a kilogram and for its size 218 * 74 * 88mm i feel the weight dimesions are reassuring. Specs wise: Qualcomm bluetooth wireless 4.2, NFC, two full range drives 58mm *2 @4ohm with freq response of 50hz - 18khz. LIthium Batt 4400mah (2 * 18650 batt). Output power is 40w as you might have guessed by the name of this model. This is one of the most powerful portable speaker in its class whereas standard bt speakers in this range have output of roughly 25w or less. This unit uses Texas Instruments TPA3118D2 amplifier chipsets powering two 58mm high excursion full range drivers on the front and passive radiators on the front and rear helps control enclosure resonance which keeps the 40W from dancing around when playing at high volume.Build quality is fantastic! All metal was used in the exterior shell and the only plastic bits are the buttons which feels really tactile when u press it. It avoids those pesky false presses when your handling the speaker while its playing music. Further there's a nifty trick up its sleeve. When you hover your hand above the controls it senses your hand and illuminates the buttons for easy readabilty in low light! Even if there's sufficient lighting in the room it will still light up which is a cool feature IMO. There's also a full rubber pad on the bottom of the unit to prevent the speaker from sliding off slippery surfaces and also stabilizes the music when playing it in high volume levels.Sound quality is impossibly wonderful! Given it's size, you will be fooled that there might be a larger speaker playing if you hide this speaker when there's guests in your house. I can't believe what i'm hearing from these bad boys. Even if you crank it to the max volume, there is no distortion at all! The amps are doing a fantastic job handling it's dual full range speakers. I especially like the highs and mid range, they're crisp, clear and precise. Bass is deep and low and extends to depths that feels almost impossible for it's size. The one thing I wasn't able to test is the battery life, I'll come back to it once i've owned this one for more than a week to test it's battery on varying volume levels and how it discharges. So to sum it all up, BUY THIS ONE WITHOUT HESITATION! I got it on sale here in amazon 10% msrp plus one day shipping and im one helluva happy guy this week!

Nice but not that loud.
This speaker works as advertised but it is NOT very loud. I was used to the Jawbone Jambox which filled up my large rooms with amazing full sound. Only four stars because the volume just isn’t there.

Not worth the price tag...
It's not great. It sounds nice for a small speaker, but I also own speakers that cost $80 less and sound just as good. It doesn't have enough volume and it does get a little sloppy with some distortion at higher volumes. The battery life isn't great. One really annoying thing is if it's fully charged and you don't use it for a couple days, the battery still drains (when its turned off) and will be completely dead the next time you try to use it. I wish i would've paid closer attention to the return window because I would have returned it. Not worth the $120.

Audiophile's Bluetooth Speaker
We own a Bose SoundLink Mini Ii, and the DiamonBoxx is roughly 2/3 the cost, however, the sound is very different.SoundLink: very bass heavy down to about 60hz, then nothing. mid-range and highs seem muffled, but has good stereo separation. Overall tonal range is limited, and it sounds like it's trying too hard.In Comparison, DiamonBoxx: Very flat (read: even) tonal response throughout the audio spectrum. Cymbals are crisp, ontracks with violins you can pick out the string harmonics. Percussion presence is well defined but not obnoxious. Vocals are on point. Low end extension much lower than the Bose but not exaggerated. MUCH LOUDER! Clean undistorted volume all the way up as well.I used the equalizer in Spotify and added some bass, and it didn't like it much. 808 notes were louder but very unnatural. Flat EQ sounds amazing. The Bose in comparison flat sounds like you have the bass knob up and the treble knob down just under half.Love the features, standard USB cable so you can use chargers you already have in your house and car, USB power output to charge your phone in an emergency, Speakerphone capabilities, and AUX in make this more well rounded featurewise than it's much more expensive Bose counterpart.I did a three way comparison between the BT speakers and my Yamaha NM10s.and the DiamondBoxx was MUCH CLOSER in range, frequency extension, detail, tonal balance, and volume than the SoundLink.I'll add notes about battery life after a few charge cycles of each. I will note mine came with a full charge out of the box, and has industry standard li-ion cells that are easier to find.Overall, even though it's a little bigger, the DiamondBoxx is a better all around Bluetooth speaker, especially for the money, so you walk away feeling like you got a sweet deal, too.

Not impressed
Heard so much rave about diamondboxx. Thought I'd get smaller one before getting larger speaker. Sounds hollow, empty and lack depth. Better 40 watt speakers out there.

Very disappointed sound quality is not there at all I would ...
Very disappointed sound quality is not there at all I would compare this to a ue boom speaker. It’s loud but audio quality really sucks. Anker soundcore plus on the other hand sounds really amazing not as loud but really good audio quality as the Bose Soundlink mini
