YAY for smaller version!!
We have five of the full size bed of nails, I got this for targeting arears and for travel.I can pretty much repeat what I said about the large pads!!First one bought mid 2011. I was desperate to find something to alleviate chronic pain in my neck and shoulders. OD/Chiro visits ruled out spine issues. The pain was 100% muscle strain/fatigue from being hunched over a keyboard to long.I have been hooked since the first time way back in 2011.It takes a couple of tries to figure out how to angle into the pad......and not have the spikes make you think you ARE on a bed of nails. My way:I put them on the bed, line it up behind me with my hips---drop back. I put them on the floor sometimes so there isn't any give in the pad.I have to move down slower---a slow roll down--when on the floor I do this by my sofa, so I can brace myself with my hand as I roll backwards.Might take a few tries...few days... getting used to the pads, knowing when that "ouchie stings feeling" gives way to just---aaaaaahhhhhhhhh---so be patient! Now days.... I fall asleep on the pads, it is THAT relaxing.....stretch out with some calm music in the background, eye shades and ZONK... zoned out. I wake up feeling like I spent an hour with a masseuse.I wear a light weight 100% cotton t-shirt or put a light weight tea towel over the pad so all the pads have stayed clean. Even our oldest ones are still clean. I hang them out in the sunshine for a few hours every few weeks to air them out and keep them smelling fresh.I plan to buy more of this smaller version now that I have seen it...it is the quality of the larger ones. My husband uses them on his calves when his RLS is driving him bats. He can doze off a lot quicker with his legs resting on the pads. I remove them when he dozes off, since.....yeah...rolling or thrashing with them under legs...LOL...not fun! These will be small enough he can roll off without dragging his legs across them!

Not for me
I bought this quite a while ago, but really didn't like the pointy things. They were too hard on my older body. I can't remember if I sent them back or donated them to a thrift store. But I wouldn't buy them again.

Best purchase for back and neck pain
This is hands down one of the best purchases I have ever made.I have awful back pain from an old work injury and when it flares up it hurts to do anything.I put this behind me and sit in a recliner with all my weight pushing back. It takes a couple of minutes to adjust to the general discomfort of being poked but it is well worth the end gain.I have also used it on my neck over an ice pack when I get a migraine. That is a little more uncomfortable but again the end result is way worth it.I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for portable pain relief.I have tried every odd product out there to help with my back and neck pain and usually they don't work so it is nice to have found something that does!

I love a smaller version of the bed of nails, I love to put it on my back while I am driving, and it feels so great just like someone massages my back

Poor product AVOID
Rubbish product, basic ribbon tie doesn't let you tie it tight enough to work properly. Should have been velcro. Disgusting that I cannot return it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
