This book is absolutely gorgeous! The delivery was really quick and the product was well packed, so no signs of damage. I had actually saw the book in a shop, fell in love with it, but could not buy it as i was travelling. I bought it later as a present and it was very much appreciated! The pictures are really beautiful and every potrait is really communicative, The eyes of some of people who have been portrayed , seem to be wanting to drag you in their world. I might buy it again, for me this time! The price on amazon is very convenient!

It's not often you'll come across a book that deserves the description "lavish" but this is it. Just portraits (no insult intended) from Steve McCurry's travels, the pics are all printed full-page, at a massive 27cm x 38cm. Taken in the days when you didn't know what you'd got until you got back and processed your film, these pictures just draw you in, smother you with emotion and leave you bathing in subtle colour and gritty realism. Just do yourself a big favour...buy it.

I did like this book.I like to examine images to see how they are made and about 90% are the same recipe- slr with possibly 50mm lens at f4 straight on. The magic however is in the posing with complimentary background colours and images, whilst sharp not overly done.I like it

I saw this advertised in my daily paper. Lived up to expectations. Superb.

I chose this book as a present for my sister who is a keen photographer. She took it to her course and used it as inspiration. McCorry is a fantastic photographer. An excellent book.

Images are beautiful

I saw this book in a library and wanted my own copy. It is a hard back book full of beautiful portraits, and an inspiration to portrait painters.

Ich habe das Buch erst verschenkt, fand es aber so schön, dass ich es auch unbedingt haben musste. Diese englische Ausgabe lohnt sich im Vergleich zur deutschen, wegen des großen Formats. Die wunderschöne Porträts kommen hier am besten zur Geltung. Für alle die erstmal schauen wollen, lohnt sich McCurrys Website, auf der sehr viele Bilder zu sehen sind.

Steve Mccurry est véritablement un grand maître du portrait et ce receuil nous le prouve encore. Outre les photos magnifiques, le livre en lui-même et de très bonne qualité et en grand format. Pour collectionneur et amateur de belles photos.

El libro tiene una gran calidad de impresión y el color es muy bueno.Es de gran formato y es un verdadero placer hojearlo una y otra vez.Lo volvería a comprar.Yo soy fotógrafo profesional y las fotos de este libro son muy buenas pero lo mejor es la selección de los personajes y su profunda mirada que parecen atravesar el papel.
