Bad Experience
I received a roll of the line that I am convinced was defective. Several breaks within days of putting it on my reel. The retailer said it had to be my fault and they would not do anything. Amazon would not offer to do anything. Turns out the retailer is not factory authorized. The manufacturer normally would consider a replacement but not for unauthorized retailers. I don't recommend buy this product from the seller and I am beginning to question doing business with amazon as well. They all want your money and then point the finger at each other but wont help.

I was told this stuff was the best, and now I see why.
It's hard to get too excited about fishing line, but I will say that this stuff is pretty incredible. After listening to the recommendation of many of my angler friends, I picked up a spool of 30lb. Power Pro braid. With this being my first experience with braid, I was shocked at how small (thin) the line was. In fact, I feel like that is the only part where I went wrong in the purchase....I should have bought 50 or 65lb instead. Not that I'm having any issues with 30lb (I'm ripping my lures out of stuff I never could before because the line just won't break! - unless it get sheared by something), but seeing how small this stuff is, I don't see any reason to go with a lighter weight. PLUS I'm told the heavier lb braid tends to cast better with fewer backlashes. The other thing that I love about this braid is how well it communicates movement. You feel EVERYTHING with this line. I can immediately tell if my spinner baits are spinning properly. I can tell if my crank baits are actually swimming or are just being dragged sideways because it got tangled up in something. Mono feels almost strange to me now (too much stretch). Look, I know there are appropriate uses for each type of line, but over all I find that I prefer using braid over mono or fluorocarbon. My conclusion is that this will be the only braid I ever buy. It's super strong, sits on the water well, casts great, and communicates what's happening on the end of the line like no other line I've used. Big thumbs up!

Paid $120 for 1500/30 and I am not happy
Cant understand why someone doesn't put a "born on date" or something on this stuff, this monster spool of 1500 yds has to be 4-6 years old, it was light green when I spooled it Saturday, I went fishing Sunday, and now its really light colored / white, makes me ill, it would be different if it was 200 yrds, but oh no, its a years worth for my 4 med / heavy baitcasters, 5 med/heavy spinning rigs, and now looking elsewhere on the internet for a better batch or will have to go to a brick and mortar store an hour away for fresh, lucky me, lesson learned. Been using Power Pro for literally years and never had a batch like this, ridiculous!

Going back to Monofilament
Used 30 lb test Power Pro Spectra Fiber Braided line in February while fishing the Sea of Cortez in Mexico, and it started to show frayed areas. This was on a new Penn Pursuit III salt water spinning rod and reel Hooked a fish that could not have been more that 3 lbs and the liine broke at the tip of my rod. Not what I expected from 30# test. In the future I will restring my reels with Mono.Update: Decided to give it a second chance..... Went fishing for catfish with bait and 1 ounce sinker. On about the 4th cast the line broke ate the tip of my rod before the bait hit the water. This rotted crap is unacceptable for any product much less a so called premium product. The rod and real are both new (Penn Pursuit lll ) so the line is not being damaged by my equipment. So far with with Trilene Monofilament no problem. I am changing my rating to one star. From now on I will keep the spool so I can make sure it was the real product.

Power Pro 30 pound braid in red. Awesome! No problems. July 2017
I usually fish form the bank of local reservoirs. With a snap swivel and no leader. I wanted braid to help if I get snagged since I can't just position myself anywhere I want like I was in a boat. I put this on a Berkley light spinning combo. I've used this now a few times and I have no complaints. I initially put too much on the spool. Loops would slide up and off and get tangled. Once I removed a few yards and re-tied, I was fine. The color is good. It seems to be as strong as advertised. The other day I was caught in a tree. I needed to wrap the line around the handles of my pliers to get a grip. I was stuck but good. The line finally broke at the knot at the swivel. I easily put 30 pounds of pressure on it. I received packaging as shown and would definitely buy Power Pro again.

Don't put yourself at a disadvantage! Use this line!
Power Pro Spectra Braided is the only fishing line I use on all of my spinning rods. Excellent line quality and cast-ability is what this line is (and has been) all about. My most recent purchase was 50lb line, to rig up for Tarpon season here on the west coast of Florida. I used this same line for the past few years on my Tarpon rods and I've got to say, its unbeatable. If you've ever had a Tarpon on the line, you know that line integrity is of the upmost importance. I have had a full grown Tarpon wrap itself up in this line, and it still never broke... and those scales are like razors to other fishing lines.Even when using the lighter versions of this line when I'm fishing the docks, this line holds up to the abuse. Snook love to run around dock pilings that are covered in barnacles, and I don't even sweat about it anymore when I've hooked up with one on this line. Obviously, you don't want a fish grinding your line on barnacles, but if it happens, this line gives you some breathing room. I've pulled 32+ inch Snook out of barnacle infested docks with the 15lb version of this line and some good .From my experience, if your not using this line when fishing, I can honestly say that you are putting yourself at a severe disadvantage. I've been using it for years in the harshest environments that Florida can offer, against the biggest and baddest fish, and I cant think of one time that this line disappointed me.

Its a super quality product
The quality is exceptional. Used it for sea fishing and good quality line . I bought a 65lb one and reeled half way on to my shimano Ax4000 reel . So that i can use for both bait and spin fishing . I used it couple of times now and the color is still there no fade so far .

Quality product
The only braid worth buying. All other brands I've tried get wind knots etc. PowerPro is the best by far.
