Excellent transaction and product. As it says on this item site measure the size. Be careful, the Kohler site seems to confuse model numbers so that makes things difficult. It is a simple install but do it carefully. Action is stiff at first but smooths out after about two weeks.

I bought 2 Kohler Santa Rosa toilets in 2021 not realizing that they came with the Brevia seat and lid that was not soft close! I purchased two non-Kohler soft close seat/lids but they've never really fit right and they wiggle. So...I still had the brand new Brevia seat and decided to try to switch the hinges. It worked! This hinge is a perfect fit and the toilet seats and lids are now a perfect match! Added, bonus, they are now quick release as well. So much easier to keep clean.

This product is a perfect replacement for the quiet close mechanism for Kohler Elongated Toilet Seats with a 7" opening between the hinges. The hinge covers snap on and off, which is an improvement over Kohler's hinged design. The entire installation, including removing the broken assembly, took under 5 minutes with needle nose pliers and a flat head screwdriver. Saving $43 over purchasing an entire new toilet seat or $10 over the Kohler brand replacement assembly is a no brainer.2 Notes:1) Save the hardware and quick nuts from the original toilet seat brackets to reuse. This kit doesn't come with them.2) MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE AND VERIFY THE OPENING BETWEEN THE HINGES BEFORE PURCHASING! If it's not 7" this won't work.

There are two cylinders that serve as the hinge. One cylinder would not slide into the hole far enough to allow the unit to fit between the seat. The whole had some burs that I removed but still the cylinder would not go far enough in. I think the hole the cylinder goes into was crooked. I ended up using the two new cylinder hinges and put them into my old unit. I also had to use the new removable plate in the old unit. The lack of quality control is probably why there is a high return on this item. I should have sent it back but probably would have ended up with the same problem. I should get my money back. What has happened to the quality that made Kohler a great company.

Good replacement, but hinge pins were very tight to remove. Closing action is stiffer and slower than original but still works good

I only needed this for the two little odd-shaped tabs between the hinge and bolt covers, but it saved me buying a new toilet seat. It was shipped promptly and well worth the money.

Worked great and easy to install. Better than buying a new toilet seat! Suggest looking up You Tube video for installation guidance first.

Kohler toilet seats are extremely expensive as they are the only manufacturer of replacement parts. It would be much more affordable to purchase a new seat from any other company than Kohler. This hinge assembly was a perfect fit and made a junk seat into a functioning self closing lid.
