delightful!
The characters develop and the adventure/ mystery is on! The descriptive author, had the details of the castle and the virtues of the heroine merrily rolling along.

Will the real Duke of Wyndham please stand up?
Will the real Duke of Wyndham please stand up? Such a great tagline so I had to use it again on this post. I was so excited to get to this duology by Julia Quinn, having storylines that run concurrently but with scenes from different POVs is genius! I read The Lost Duke of Wyndham first and am really looking forward to reading Mr. Cavendish, I Presume next.Jack Audley is a highwayman and when the story starts he has just stopped a carriage with two women inside, the dowager Duchess of Wyndham and her companion Grace. Jack steals a kiss from Grace and then gets thrown for a loop when the dowager Duchess claims him to be her grandson, she swears he has to be the child of her much beloved son who passed 30 years ago....which quite possibly makes him the rightful Duke of Wyndham. But which also means the current Duke, Thomas, might be kicked out of a title and place he has held his entire life...Jack drew me in right from the start...he is hilarious, charming, witty and flirty and just the perfect balance to Grace. Grace has been the trusty companion to the dowager for 5 years and never is thanked for all her hard work or really has time for herself. I did really like their romance, but wanted a bit more of it just because Jack was so great. But of course, there is the whole drama unfolding of “who’s the rightful Duke?!” which keeps this read very fast-moving and easy to get lost in. I really enjoyed this entire concept and having the story told from 2 different POVs in their own books is really intriguing. JQ has excellent banter and dialogue in her books that make it just a breeze to consume and I am diving into the next story now!

Wonderful!
Julia Quinn knows how's to grab a reader on the first page and keep The reader thoroughly entertained until the last page or the last word. I loved every bit. The only thing I did not like were my eyes growing to tired to continue each night. I recommend this book to all who love a great romance with a great story!

More like "Julia Quinn Light"
This feels like an early work by the author or a "light" version of her normal work. There is some wit though the many of the characters aren't feel fully formed. SPOILER--the love story is so rushed that it's hard to buy even for readers of romance novels. I can't say it's a satisfying read but if you need something and can get this for a fraction of the price, with lowered expectations it may amuse. Even at her weakest, Quinn is still better than most . Would that I could have given this a better review.

Another amazing story from Julia Quinn!!
I must confess that I love ANYTHING written by Julia Quinn. Her stories are always well thought out, and incredibly satisfying. I especially enjoy this approach of writing the same story from the two different perspectives. Each of the heroes and heroines are genuine individuals, true to their time, but ultimately easy to relate to in in today's terms. Well worth the read!!

improved
Quinn’s writing is improving. I still find it annoying that she over explains over describes everything, leaving no room for interpretation. And this story is oh so very similar to the Black Moth by Hayer. And of course she is an American writer writing about the UK as an Anglo Canadian reader I groan at her misunderstanding of English high society etc….. but besides all that this was the best of her stories I have yet read.

Charming romance
I enjoyed the romance between Grace and the charming Robin Hood-ish Jack. There was plenty of banter and clever dialogue as usual with Julia Quinn’s books. Jack really didn’t want the the dukedom and fought hard, but love overcomes all!

Cansativo
Um dos poucos que cansei. Leitura gostosa no início, mas se perde do meio para o fim. Cheguei a cochilar lendo. Tem bastante do famoso "enchendo linguiça"

Book is ok
The book is ok, I liked it. Reading is easy and the author describes each scene pretty good. I would love to have more details in the story though but in general is ok.

Nice
Lovely little story. An amusing farce in some respects that makes you smile. Great hero and likeable heroine. A slightly ridiculous plot but overall a very enjoyable read.
