Removing two tattoos on the back of my thighs, right under my butt. Such a sensitive area! Historically I was unable to make it through a tattoo removal session with just lidocaine cream. Today I was able to sit through the entire removal session - I still felt the laser but it was uncomfortable at most. I will continue to use this product until the sessions are bearable. 30 minutes before my session I applied each numbing cream one by one - based on the number that was listed on the packaging. Then I wrapped with cling wrap. The tech removed it right before my session and cleaned it with alcohol. This is a small packet but it covered both of my tattoos fully with some left over. Both which are the size of a credit card.Using a Qswitch laser btw.

After using Painless Tattoo original cream and spray, this new revised product absolutely fails. The original cream contained 5% lidocaine, 5% Priloxaine and 1% Epinephrine. These ingredients combined were by far the best, most effective and longest lasting topical numbing cream I've ever found in 32 years of tattooing. We used to use a cream named Emla in the 90s which was pretty amazing, but ORIGINAL Painless Tattoo cream left all else behind. Apparently the FDA had complaints of some consumers experiencing redness, and the original product was pulled. What a crying shame.My husband was very familiar with the original formula and could go 4+ hours of abdominal tattoo without complaint. This new, 3-part, mix it yourself, cream which doesn't even list it's ingredients, did NOTHING. Most awful session ever, he tapped out after 90 minutes working on 'numb' areas, and was shaking with mild shock setting in. Please understand, we embarked on his entire chest and abdomen tattoo with the comfort of this cream, after he earned his dues having 2 complete sleeves done without 'cheating'. He's pretty tough. And very few people can handle a sternum tattoo session without a little help. And sadly, that's the spot I tried this awful new product on. Please, don't even market this as 'PAINLESS' as it's quite the opposite. Waste of money and high hopes.

I've had tired a few different brands before and none of them worked as how they were advertise. I tired all the advices from people and friends. Like putting it on an hour before my session or wrap it with saran wrap. This was recommended by a friend and I had a big leg piece that had to get finished, which I would have to sit for a 8 to maybe 10 hours. LET ME TELL YOU THIS PRODUCT DID WONDERS!!!! The nice thing is that there is a QR code to scan and it gives you the instruction on how to use the product, which I thought was awesome. The tattoo session was 8 hours long and I sat through over 5 hours with not feeling a thing for the most part. If you haven't tried this and thinking about I advise you get this before your next session.

Cream didn't work at all. I felt everything just like last time. The packets had barely any cream in it I packets was smaller than teaspoon I measured it that's what I used to stir too. Then you loose some mixing it. It was clumpy and it said to leave a thick layer after rub in that would only work for a tattoo 5 inch by 5 inch. Dead serious. I'm highly disappointed DOES NOT WORK. 20 DOLLARS FOR TWO PUMPS OF LOTION KINDA TO PUT ON TATTOOO. SUCH A RIP OFF REFUND. FALSE ADVERTISING.. PACKETS CLAIM IT HAS MORE IT IT AND NOPE THEY GAVE ALMOST EMPTY PACKETS. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANY MORE PRODUCTS FOR TATTOOS AND I HAVE ALOT I BUY 2 CANISTERS OF MAINTAIN CREAM IN 1 MONTH. SWITCHING TO DIFFERENT TATTOO BRAND FOR MY TATTOO NEEDS IF NOT REFUNDED. OR SENT OUT EVEN MORE CREAM TO REPLACR BUT TO ACTUALLY FIT ON A TATTOO BIGGER THAN SIZE OF a bun from cheese burger. I d have to order 6 of these just to do from wrist to elbow on arm ???

This product was amazing. Especially if you use them combined as specified in direction. I used this before a tattoo session I had and it lasted the whole 8 hour sitting. I highly recommend for those long sessions on super sensitive areas like the ribs. Great price, great product, I absolutely love it

I bought this 3 pack along with some of their numbing spray to use for laser tattoo removal. I applied it approximately an hour and a half before my session, wrapped the areas in cling wrap, and let it sit until it was time to leave. I used the numbing spray about 15 minutes after removing it. I will say that on my neck it dulled the sensation for me for about 20-30 minutes. I still felt a bit but it was tolerable. However, it had absolutely no effect on my wrist whatsoever! I felt every bit of that and was hollering like someone had tossed me into an open fire!I’m also a little peeved at how small the packets are for the price. $22 per set, and I needed 2 of them just to cover the whole area. My neck tattoo is only about the size of a grapefruit, and my wrist tatt is only the size of a golf ball. I think I’m going to try something cheaper next time.

I gave this product 4 stars because it definitely has helped me with my leg sleeve but the pain does not entirely go away. These creams lead you to believe you can lay through hours of a tattoo gun and feel nothing - that’s simply wrong. Some spots feel only like vibrations but others that you don’t entirely coat with the cream still feel 100% of the pain of a tattoo. Follow the directions and Saran Wrap your area for an hour before hand to mitigate pain. Drink water and don’t be hungover. I would say that safely, 50% pain reduction for the first hour or so of the tattoo. After the first hour you’re back to the normal pain of a needle in your skin. DO NOT RELY ON THIS CREAM to get you through a long session if you can’t sit through it regularly. I would recommend this cream to anyone who needs a boost to get through a painful spot.

I got this for a hand tattoo since I heard those hurt worse, but I totally forgot to use it! Ended up giving it to my bf for his first tattoo and he said he didn’t feel any numbness or change to his skin at all. Granted, it was his first tattoo and he wouldn’t know what it felt like either way but I’d assume there should be some type of anesthetic properties and it didn’t seem to. I’ve never used this product before so maybe I’m wrong.
