I am a victim of kidney stones. my 1st week of taking this herb proved itself. Almost immediate results. I was strict with my diet and taking my capsules. Not just for kidney stones but all the benefits this plant has to offer for the organs in our body. I spent 6 hours on a bed in the hospital, the doctor ran my insurance up to $13,000 in 6 hours, with blood test, MRI, etc.. at the end he said, i knew what it was when i described my symptoms to him, and i asked than why did you have me in the hall ways of the hospital sitting in pain and run up my insurance, i paid $ 1,300 and $10.00 dollsrs for a pain killer that did nothing and not once did this doctor mention Chanca Piedra, NOT ONCE ! and the tablets cost me $40.00, there is no money in cure. this product really helped with the pain (which was off the scales) ..the thing is I never passed any stones,i don't know if they just dissolved or what,but I feel so much better I bought one bottle of this and one bottle of another product called renavive.after I finished those two bottles I feel so much better. on a scale from one to ten the pain I was in was a definite ten..now it is a one, I feel a slight dull ache, not the crazy sharp pain.i can sleep relatively pain free.i bought another bottle in case the pain comes back and it hasn't it has been one month already so hopefully this problem is over.i don't have health insurance so this saved my butt bigtime!

I have a 5mm stone stuck halfway down my ureter. It didn't move for 4 weeks after having taken Flomax and whilst the Flomax was great at pain relief, the side effects were not nice. I found out about Chanca Piedra online and thought I would give it a go. I am now about 3 weeks into taking it and firstly I will rate it as a pain reliever - it does help. I started off with 2 tabs 3 times a day and currently take 10 per day split over 3 doses - it's very hard to get meaningful online advice on dosage although for acute cases 4-6g is recommended - I therefore take 5g in 10 tabs. I am EXTREMELY dubious about claims it dissolves or breaks up the stones - I have not passed it and the stone has not moved since I started. Again, online advice is sketchy at best as to how long it could take. Some say a couple of weeks as per this product page (with no mention of the dosage used to cure the 94% I may add). Other guides say 45 days or a few months. There is evidence that it is a muscle relaxant and helps relax the ureter to promote stone passage but I'd like to hear reply comments from people who have had things REALLY dissolve or turn their stones into a sludge...I'm extremely skeptical about the reviews on here and other sites and advise caution if you are going to use this. It's very easy to have high expectations when so many reviews say "fantastic" or "really works" but as a genuine user I'm very cynical about the claims. Would really like to hear from other genuine buyers. So in conclusion I find this good for pain management but I'm not convinced by the dissolving claims and that people passed things in 2 hours or the like! I would rate it 2.5 out of 5 for the pain relief. I have tried the tincture too with the same result.***UPDATE: 27/01/2014I stand by my original review and comments 100% - a recent scan shows no movement in the stone and no reduction in its size. Chanca Piedra is definitely helping me with the pain and for that I would recommend it but it's ability to dissolve or "crush" kidney stones needs to be questioned I feel, particularly when it is so prominently promoted on the product pages. The key with kidney stones is that every individual case is different - different shaped stones, different locations, different causes. The only way to get proper treatment is to seek professional medical advice for your individual case. A miracle cure that dissolves stones would be nice but is unfortunately just fantasy. It is a good natural pain relief and diuretic and I do take it for this reason.

After my research, I found this one to fit the bill. I’d taken it before as part of my cleansing ( detox ) but only because I’d gotten it for my Dad and he had refused to take it. “He already had enough pills”.. and my Mom, the nurse that she is, was also skeptical. So like 3 months later, my Dad ended up having two surgeries to nail his stones in January 2020. Now that he lives with me... I finally convinced him to try it because he started having pain again 3 weeks ago. As for me, seeing my mother has been buying these type of products for a while now and wanted me to buy this for her. I've felt nothing but anger and resentment if this was yet another product to take advantage of the poor who can't afford medicare. Purchased this for my mother's gallstones back in March 2019 when it was over $20.According to my mother she still has stones in her, so obviously this product either did not work or she maybe in need of another bottle or two. She does say it relieved the pain a bit (guessing those jaggy pain according to the description) but does not recall anything else. I suppose this product didn't do a lasting impression on her nor on me wanting her to get relief.
