I love the look of this bag, and for light rain or short periods of time, I'm sure it will do fine. However since I bought it, I have used it twice in heavy rain and everything in the main compartment of the backpack ended up very very wet both times. The items in the small front pocket, and inside zipper pocket seemed to do okay, but overall not pleased, and I will have to end up getting another backpack that is actually waterproof.

I really like the very minimalist, understated look this bag has, along with the sharp looking dark green and black color scheme. The only real design accent besides the roll top - which works very well - is the waterproof zipper for the small exterior pocket. The materials used feel luxurious and durable at the same time and while I’d rather not get it wet, it is waterproof with water just beading and rolling off rather than soaking through the fabric. The roll top is secured with a buckle on each side of the bag which is a much better implementation than using a single buckle in the center. The hardware buckles are all covered in a soft touch rubber which make them a joy to use and add another touch of quality to the bag. The interior of the bag is rather bare though, with only a laptop sleeve and elastic band for retention being present, but there is a good amount of space for an everyday commute. The harness is nicely padded for the size of the backpack and is comfortable to wear. About the only thing missing is any kind of water bottle pocket, but then again, the pack wouldn’t look as minimalist as it does if it had one so I’m torn on whether it should’ve been added. I think it’s an excellent pack; particularly liking the materials used and styling of the pack and really don’t have any complaints with it beyond wanting a little more organizational compartments.
