Kohler K-1893-C-2BZ Clam-Shell Packed Soap/Lotion Dispenser with Transitional Design, Oil Rubbed Bronze

I am updating this review to note the outstanding customer service we received from Kohler. Our soap dispenser was several years old when it developed holes in the spout. Despite the 1-year warranty, Kohler is sending us a free replacement for the defective dispenser.This Kohler soap dispenser (K-1893-C-2BZ) looks great and works very well. However, the spout developed holes on both sides - near the tip - and now leaks. This dispenser is metal, and we use standard liquid soap that should not be corrosive in any way. We are well past the warranty period, but we purposely spent the money to buy what we thought would be a quality soap dispenser ($60 at the time of purchase) so it would last. We are disappointed because we have always trusted the quality of Kohler products.

I bought 2 of these Kohler soap dispensers. One is 2 years old and one is brand new. The two-year-old one works just as well as the new one does. I paid $50 2 years ago and $66 for this most recent one. Not seeing where it's worth the $16 up charge... it's identical!

The product seemingly works very well and looks good for a while. However after a few months the bottle under the counter breaks off at the threads. Bare in mind you never really have to go under there to refill as you can top it off from on top of the counter. So unknowingly this happened to me, and i began refilling from above only to find all of the soap in a puddle in my cabinet. Also leaked through the pipe cutouts and into our basement ceiling. A HUGE mess. Total situation. All because the manufacturer uses a defective plastic bottle that is less durable then a standard throw away bottle. As another customer said “Shame on you Kohler!” This is the second time this has happend to me. Though the first time didn’t result in the same fallout. This repair will be difficult and costly. Completely infuriating.

For 10 years I had had another brand's sink soap dispenser- (2 of them) and I thought it was just me... the soap would come out in little spurts and the little nozzle did not extend quite far enough. Finally it broke (probably from having to hit it so many times to get the soap out) that I decided to research to find another brand. Credit a lot of the reviews on Amazon, I settled for the Kohler K-1893 and am very happy I did. It feels like solid metal, the nozzle reaches out further AND the soap comes out in just the right amount- not too much and not too little- One pump is all you need to get enough soap.

Goes well with my Kohler Faucet. As for the installation it looked relatively easy but I had my plumber install both the faucet and the button for the garbage disposal. It does match well and I am completely satisfied.

Seems quite sturdy.Be careful NOT to crossthread when installing the bottle beneath the sink.

I have remodled 3 kitchens in the last 3 years and have used this dispenser. Each time it doesn't disappoint. I tried less expensive ones and ended up returning them and going back to this one. I prefer metal like this which has a great chrome finish.

Beautiful soap dispenser. Was delivered on time, high quality, very easy to install. Would absolutely recommend this product to any one, who is looking for quality and affordability.

Looks great! And works well. The spring on the pump seems to get bunged up with soap every now and then so I have to pull it up before I can pump it.

This is a very nice dispenser. It seems very well constructed and I am anticipating, by how it feels to use, that it will last much longer than the others I have wasted my money on

Easy to install. Good quality.

Installation was quick and easy. Tank capacity is great and pump is smooth and feels solid.
