Q: Does the handle lock when open or closed?

The handle snaps into both the open and closed position. When open the handle stops at 180 degrees to the tin. I would not depend on the handle to lock firmly enough when closed to hold the contents when shaken. Put on a stout rubber band to secure.

Q: The photo sure seems to show something more-square than the 2"x9" dimension specified. Are you sure about the 2x9?
