I had bought a supermarket “ grow your own Amaryllis “ kit. The first few days were fine but then I noticed tiny black flies appearing on the inside of one of my windows. I was puzzled because due to the severe cold none of my windows had been opened. I quickly checked on the intervened and found that the fly larvae could have been in the growing medium supplied with the kit. One of the ways to combat that was to put decorative stone on the top of the compost and that would help eliminate the problem. I found the white marble stones and fixing liquid on Amazon and as soo as it was delivered I got to work. It was easiness personified. Arrange the stones, spray the liquid and leave to set. It worked no more wee black flies. I am now going to use it on my other plants as it looks lovely and just finishes off the plants nicely. Sorry didn’t mention that it is water pervious so there are no issues when watering plants.

Covering the soil also deters tiny flies away & makes Plants look very nice too

I have a huge problem with fungus gnats, esp from my peace lillies, so these stones, so far so good, are great. The container was impossible to open, but I ran it under a warm tap for ten seconds and that did the trick. The fixing spray nozzle malfunctioned which created a lot of mess on my deck and in the pots. But all in all, good value for money.

Stones are nice, exactly what i need; but the container could not unscrew the cap because of the sand. I struggled to open it; I had to use a knife to cut. "Luckily" it was made of plastic; however, it had to be foreseen that the sand from the stones is distributed on the thread and makes it almost impossible to untie. The solution is not a plastic container for sure!

purchased as i had a terrible fungus gnat problem, the gravel stops the gnats from getting to the soil and once watered it is a beautiful colour

Straightforward easy combo to use. Since purchasing I've not had any gnats on my palm tree!!

Still not been able to use this product as the jar is impossible to open. I’ve tried rubber gloves, freezing it, heating up the lid - but nothing works. I’ll probably have to buy a vice to get into it.

I'm really happy with the product, i chose 1 tub of the Oyster Quartz as i wanted a neutral but not beige in colour stone. I liked it so much that iv now bought the two pack that comes with the spray to try (hoping it stops the stones moving when i water my plants) Also these are way better priced than a lot of other sellers, much more for your money!
