honestly I have purchased 4 different holsters for my Glock 17, this one is the best ... Appendix carry is a pleasure, no issues walking, running, or sitting at dinner table. I think it is very comfortable, your mileage may vary....

Great quality, this is my third Alien gear holster. I recommend nothing else and I own several other holsters that I never use top notch holster.

I recieved a extra "side" ? for my Left Hand holster. I see nothing about how or why. It SEEMS to be for right hand? I ordered LEFT HAND. It came LEFT HAND but includes right hand part?Looking at the instructions I don't see how or why I received this large part.The right hand part had a nice spring release button. I wanted that on my left hand. Instructions were cryptic and made no sense. I tossed them aside and I started playing with it. I took it all appart and after a lot of guesswork. I swapped the spring release over to the left hand mold that was installed. I put it all back together and now it seems like it will be very nice. (If I did it right).My springfield 3" fits nice. CLIPS in now that I put on the spring clip. (else the gun can fall/slip out of the holster. Once I started playing around with the disassembly and reassembly it seemed logical and pretty easy. I wish the instructions would explain what this huge right/side part is? Maybe it comes with both and the one we choose is the one installed by default? The is another part that is installed on the right hand side plate. It looks like a GEAR that protrudes out (maybe it's for other accessories to add on?)This is my point - TO MANY MAYBES... why do the instructions not explain what all parts are and what they are for? I don't need instructions to tell me to use the hex wrench to losen the hex screws. Or how the clip connects to my belt. (Really?) It's like instructions that show how to plug an AC plug into a wall power outlet. - Not actually worn it yet. I may report back later.

I recently purchased an alien gear holster. Somehow I ended up with a left hand draw so requested an exchange from Amazon with a change to right hand draw mentioned in comment area. Apparently Alien Gear did not get the part of the request for switching to right hand draw so I ended up with a left hand draw again but it was a fast exchange. At that point I decided to bypass Amazon and wrote diretly to Alien Gear explaning what happened and requesting a change to a right hand draw again. I offered to pay for shpping since I did not feel it was Alien Gears fault. Within a few days I had the correct holster and no charge for shipping. I am more than a little impressed to say the least. Holsters for me from now on will come from Alien Gear.

Freedom seed dispenser shown is a Springfield XD-M Elite Compact 3.8" barrel. As far as modularity goes, I'd love to give this holster 5 stars. However, as is the case most of the time, it is extremely bulky. The base jabs into my thigh and manly bits especially so when seated. Right out of the package it comes with additional fittings for left hand carry, a thumb release attachment, extra spacers to adjust cant and ride. I did not figure out how to adjust cant properly because any adjustments to the belt clip essentially only moved the neoprene sweat guard and didn't actually rotate the handgun at all. Which, if shifted too far, allowed the rear sights to rub my stomach(I'd say athletic build, not a thickboy, so belly isn't an issue otherwise). Retention is excellent with the adjustable tab, so no issue there. The side-by-side comparison here is against a basic appendix WTP holster which itself does not cover the rear sight, but it is molded well enough to keep sight stomach jabbing to a minimum. Price and value, I give this Alien Gear kit a 5, but for comfort I have to dock it points. I do home remodel work so flexibility and comfort play a factor in an active working day. I did end up returning this product, but would suggest you give it a try because every one is different and as goes for holsters, you have to find what suits you best.

Excellent holder and the modular functionality of the shapeshift platform is perfect. This is my first concealed holster, so I do not have much to compare to, but it did buy it for what it is and for the options and conversations -modularity. The pad is comfortable on the surface, but can push into waist or leg when working and doing a lot of movement depending on position. I feel that mo matter what position, there will be some dig or push of any holster. It just goes with it. The only thing I took away a star for is that they presently only offer a clip on the front. Maybe soon, they will put out an O clip option of a snap loop option to change it out. The clip is great for now, solid and easy to slip over pants/belt, but I do understand as they say that it will wear over time. When it comes available, it will be one of the first changes. I will be getting some of the other expansion packs for other carry options and review them as well. I am only testing presently and found that for my full size M&P 11:00 position offers the most comfort and least print with length of the grip and bulge from the clip and thickness of the complete unit. 1:00 position is a bit more comfortable but prints more. It isn't very noticeable, but it does print. I may consider a mag pouch as well and the other IWB pancake expansion pack to try to spread the bulge and make it print even less. It is a great holster for what it is though. Highly recommended.

This is a great holster! Highly recommend. I am 6 ft and 280lbs. Very comfortable standing, sitting, and driving for long periods of time.

Received it fairly quickly and it is more comfortable than expected
