Time will tell
I purchased this product from this seller in 2017 and it worked perfectly using organic full fat milk. However following a long holiday this year (2018) it had to be discarded so I made another purchase of this in October this year from the same seller. It has not performed as I expected and when it smelled off (vinegary) I discarded it after 4 weeks. Given that my previous experience was so positive then I have to assume that the product had no intrinsic problem and that this current failure arose due to a local environmental factor. On that basis I have purchased another batch from this seller. Hopefully it will work out but if not then I may have to change my assumption.(13/11/2018).

Creamy kefir at last!
I have waited since Christmas to review the kefir grains, but at last I am making good kefir. It took a few weeks of practice and maybe required the grains to get fully established. Now my batches of kefir are thick and creamy, and the grains are expanding. It improved when I used full fat milk, but now it seems to work with semi-skimmed. I can recommend them if you are prepared to keep trying until you succeed. The instructions were helpful, and I also read other people's suggestions online.

Great little seeds
Having just finished drinking a vanilla and honey kefir drink. I can confirm that the kefir seeds I bought from you many months ago are still alive and well and providing us with regular kefir drinks. I made cream cheese a few times during the Summer. I try to use Duchy Organic from Waitrose, which is not homogenised, but occasionally I can only buy ordinary organic milk and clearly the kefir seeds are not impressed, but they hang in there until some “proper” milk arrives.

milk kefir grains
On receiving this product my initial feeling was this insignificant amount wont be much good, however i kept the faith, followed the instructions and now about 5 weeks later the grains are strong and have increased in size sufficiently for me to give some spare product to friends to start their own production. I usually allow about 36 hrs fermentation in a reasonably warm kitchen and find this gives good thick kefir i do cheat and sweeten it to make it more palatable but find it really helps your digestive system. john

A good product but....
This is a good product which I have purchased two or three times. However, the last time I purchased it (as part of Christmas gift for a relative), the bag containing the product actually leaked so I wrote to the seller about it, then confirmed what had happened in response to his question but disappointingly, over a week later have heard nothing further - hence the 3 star review :(

Kefir grains
It took a week to establish the grains I used full fat organic milk then once I got more bigger grains I change to semi skimmed organic milk. Very pleased with this product.

Excellent product
Beautiful product. Lovely tasting Kefir. I enjoy looking after it and treat it almost like a pet. I had been given some previously and didn't like the taste. I purchased these as I really wanted the health benefits of Kefir whilst taking antibiotics. I have been so pleased with these organic grains, they produce a lovely, fresh tasting Kefir. An absolute must and I will continue to drink it regularly.Thank you John
