The InSite Vibrating Bluetooth Anti-Loss Alarm is a vibrating Bluetooth separation/anti-loss alarm that will alert you if your paired Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet) becomes separated from you. It alerts you at the moment you become separated from your device, which is much more useful that realizing after and then having to retrace your steps in your mind where you may have left your device. It can be wrist wearable, or the module can be removed from the wristband and used with a clip to put on keychain or keep in pocket. The LBT505 also has a secondary feature of being a vibrating incoming call alert. This can be useful when your phone is not on your person (golfing, other sporting activity, meetings, house of worship, etc) but you want to be aware if an incoming call comes in. A press of the button will stop the vibrate and send the call directly to voice mail.

Helpful little gadget
I love this little thing. Since upgrading my phone to a more power hungry phone I found myself walking out my front door leaving my phone behind on the charger. That hasn't happened once since I invested in this gadget. It works as described and vibrates if the receiver gets out of bluetooth range of your phone. For me personally, I am able to walk around my entire house without it going off, but as soon as I walk out my front door without my phone it lets me know. The battery lasts about 5 days for me. Not a big deal since it only takes about an hour to charge. I was concerned that the constant bluetooth communication would lessen the battery life on my phone. I am happy to report that is not the case. I would recommend this to anyone who leaves their phone behind with any regularity.

It kinda works, not great but better than nothing at all.
My job is kinda crazy. Half of the year I work in an office, the other half I work in a noisy and hazardous shipyard. When I am away from my desk I get all my company correspondence forwarded to my company cell phone. I was missing a lot of my important phone calls because I couldn't hear the phone ring over the industrial noise. In the winter time it is very cold in the shipyard so you have to wear thick layers of clothing and the vibration setting on the phone is useless. Having the vibration alert strapped to my wrist under my layers of clothes seemed like a perfect solution...I still think it is a great idea, just glitchy with this device.Problem 1: in fairness this item is described as a separation alarm not a call alert (although it does do both). So its main priority is to warn me if I leave my phone behind. Well this thing really really really doesn't want you to leave your phone behind. The range at which it begins to experience separation anxiety from the phone is entirely too short. For example, if I have the phone in my left back pants pocket, and the wrist band on my right wrist and I reach to grab a hand rail with my right hand...the distance between my left butt pocket to my extended right arm is enough to set the off the alert giving me the 3 vibrations. Then I lower my arm and the reconnect alert of one long vibration kicks in. Furthermore, the alarm for separation is 3 vibrations while that for receiving a call is 2 vibrations. This is too similar so if you aren't completely paying attention at the time it begins to buzz. the two alerts can easily be confused and you might think an important call is coming when it really isn't.My solution...now I have to carry my phone in the other pocket to prevent all the nonsense vibrating alerts from happening. This is awkward because years of muscle memory have accustomed me to have my wallet in the right pocket and the phone in the left. So reversing this is awkward for me. The other option is to place the wrist band on my left wrist, but that's where I wear my wrist watch and swapping this is equally as awkward. The simple electronic solution... why not make the range of the device separation alarm more like 10 to 20 feet as in you actually need to leave it in another room for it to go off instead of it being set off by the distance of one's bodily extremities. If I were 6'3" this thing would be going off constantly! Maybe even make the range adjustable? Also why not make the separation alert 3 long vibrations and an incoming call a series of short vibrations. Changing the pulse width of the vibrations seems easy enough and this way there is no way to confuse the 2 alerts even accidentally.Problem 2: The phone treats this device as a bluetooth headset when pairing. So when you receive or make a call your phone may or may not (depending on make and model) force you to turn off bluetooth in order for the person you are calling to be able to hear you speak. This is mentioned as a possible problem in the manual so to the manufacturers credit I will say they point it out as a possibility, but it is still annoying and would have been nice to know before purchasing. Luckily my phone has the ability to toggle bluetooth to handset while in the middle of a call so for me this is more of a repeated minor inconvenience than a hard problem, but your phone may be different therefore your results may also be different. I also noticed that in a short call this isn't a problem and in a longer call the bluetooth will take over the call after a about 30 seconds causing me to fumble to toggle the bluetooth off mid sentence... pain in the butt.Over all this thing works, it has its quirks but if this functionality is important enough to you to work around the flaws then it will get the job done. It pairs easy, it charges up fast, and in general its easy to set up and use. The battery lasts me the entire day. I have seen some reviews that stated battery issues. I have not experienced battery problems, however I have not gone anywhere near the 90 hour standby time it claims to have as I charge mine after every 10 hour work day. So if you don't need it to go multiple days I am sure the battery should be adequate for most people. It charges in less than an hour typically.UPDATE 2-8-14...I have recently purchased a new phone and noticed that the problem with the bracelet going off when my phone was in my back pocket and the bracelet arm is extended, is no longer an issue and what I attributed as a problem with the Bracelet was actually due to a weak bluetooth transmitter in the phone. That problem has gone away and I am upgrading this to 4 stars now. I still stand by all the other observations I made in my review.

Best gadget ever!
My son is brilliant, but he can't keep up with his phone to save his life! I bought this in the bracelet form for his 15th birthday to go with his new smart phone. Not only does he actually like the look of the bracelet, but he loves what it does for him. It does vibrate when he wanders too far from his phone--but better yet, it vibrates when he receives a text or call! This is by far my favorite feature. He sticks his phone in his cargo pocket and can never feel it when I'm trying to get in touch with him. The very first time I called him with this gadget, he actually answered the phone! What would make it perfect is if it displayed the time like a watch. :-)

Great product with major complications
I connected the device to my android, however because it is associated with the phone it transfers the call to the device. So, you are unable to talk to someone with the device active. This may work with a different Operating System. It is a very cool idea, but the limitation of multiple Bluetooth devices, and allowing notification without call transfer makes it difficult.

Exactly as I had expected
Very please with the product, the purchase and delivery experience. The product is exactly what I need and works, for the most part, without issue. I'm not sure if it is environmental or not, but some days it continuously looses Bluetooth connectivity with my tablet. Rebooting it usually resolves the problem.

Does what it's meant to do, but with an annoying side effect
It works for what it was intended for. But it has a little problem... When I am in a call, sometimes it will take priority of a call and act like a head set. Then my call will cut out and I will have to pull my phone away from my ear, and click the button to send the output back to my iphone speaker.

Concept is excellent, after I lost my ultra expensive Note 4 ...
Concept is excellent, after I lost my ultra expensive Note 4 i decide to get one.Sorry, waste of money.1- Devices communicate via Bluetooth, BUT it uses the audio channel, so when it rings actually vibrates making useless the personalized ringtones, even worst, in order to answer the phone you must disable the Bluetooth first, otherwise you wont be able to hear anything.2- Battery don't last too long, less than 10 hours, for such a small device i would expect something better.3- Bracelet falls off at the minor pulling, if you rub it with your pants, falls off the lock is not reliable at all.So it becomes a waste of money.Frank

The range is beyond poor. I have my phone on my left side
The range is beyond poor. I have my phone on my left side. The LBT505 hangs on a lanyard around my neck. Total distance maybe one foot. It is constantly buzzing three times to indicate separation. Come on--one foot. It buzzes all the time reducing battery life. Soon as I find all the stuff (I have had it for only one day) I hope to send it back. Sounded like a good idea. It is a good idea. This one just does not work.
