This is the second Boombotix we have purchased. These are durable, and have a great sound for a small speaker. We use it indoors and outdoors. Don't let the small size fool you. This is your best bang for the buck.

I am sick and tired of companies that use non-removable batteries that do not last much longer than maybe a year (or about 50 charges) that, once the battery dies, leaves the entire device inoperable, even when connected to "usb" power.And to add insult to injury, the battery is non-replaceable, not even third-party. No way, no how.The speaker doesn't sound anywhere near as great as they say, and once you open up the speaker (I did, why not, it was a dead brick anyway (and I only had it a little more than a year and it only saw light use for mainly audiobooks because for music it's jokingly harsh sounding) so why not open it up and see if I can maybe somehow fix or replace the battery? Nope. For one thing, it's proprietary and chipped so that it's literally impossible to replace. And the device refuses to work without a good battery.Since the warranty is only for one year and the battery only last a TINY BIT longer than one year, this is a ONE STAR review and a HUGE WARNING: AVOID THIS RIP OFF LIKE THE PLAGUE.Companies that make devices with non-removable batteries need to suffer. We as consumers need to demand replaceable batteries again. It's not funny anymore. We need to vote NO for junk and planned obsolescence like this with our wallets by NOT BUYING.And besides, like I said, this speaker sounds terrible. I only liked that it clipped on and worked for audio books. I'd rather use literally anything else for music. But now that it can't even do that, might as well ass what's inside it since it's designed, literally designed, not to work, even when tethered to USB power, once the battery reaches end of life.This speaker is a total ripoff.
