As a family that loves to learn and explore with our children we have found this to be a handy set for a variety of science experiments with the kids. It is easy to read the markings on the tubes. They are sturdy plastic making them ideal for use with children. They all fit together compactly for easy storage.

I purchased these graduated cylinders to prepare water quality standards and prepare samples. I was surprised to see that they were more translucent than transparent. Some of the images provided by the manufacturer suggested that these cylinders are nearly crystal clear (refer to image with colored liquids); however, other images provide a more accurate depiction of the clarity (refer to image showing the “Premium PP [polypropylene] material” and the “Stable base”). I was concerned that I would not be able to see the bottom of the meniscus with pure water. It turns out that was not a problem because at least with pure water, the meniscus is absent on both the largest (100-mL) and smallest (10-mL) graduated cylinders. I plan to use these in the field. The fact that the graduated cylinders are made of polypropylene and, therefore, essentially unbreakable, is an attractive feature. Also, I agree that the hexagonal bases are more stable and the cylinders will not roll when placed on their side. The other accessories (pipets, brushes, and a funnel are a nice addition).PROS• Inexpensive, nice size selection of unbreakable polypropylene graduated cylinders.• Hexagonal bases provide stability and keep cylinders from rolling when laid down.• Provided with brushes for cleaning the graduated cylinders.CONS• Not crystal clear as depicted in a couple of images showing colored liquids – they are more translucent but the level of pure water is visible.• Graduations are little difficult to read.

The plastic is thick and durable. The brushes are great and the included Pipettes and funnel are great as well. The variable sizes make it a great beginner set or addition for more measuring variety. They are also easy to read.

This set of plastic graduated cylinders provides a wide variety of sizes. They are made of rugged, cloudy plastic and should hold up well.My big complaint is that the cylinders displayed in the advertisement are clear and have painted graduations, these do not. (Minus 2 stars for misrepresentation. After all that these cylinders will work well for me mixing wood stains.

These cylinders are great for school elementary experiments. They're accurate and sturdy for hard use. They work perfectly for home school science experiments.

These are your typical plastic graduated cylinders. Many sets only include the 10/50/100ml sizes, so the 25ml cylinder is nice, just make sure you understand that each gradation isn't one milliliter, but 2.5! The cleaning brushes are a nice addition and work great. The funnel is too small and kind of easy to spill anything that isn't pretty viscous. My biggest complaint is that the gradations are *not* painted on one side like many others are, which can be a problem with some backlighting conditions; I was holding my hand behind the cylinder to provide the contrast necessary to see where the meniscus was.

Accurate to the ml. Stable and stand well. Great pour spout doesn't run down the side. Excellent

Good value for various science classes! This set is a lot cheaper than the ones that the scientific supply companies sell, and certainly does the job. Great for measuring liquids and solids for various experiments. The cleaning brushes and pipettes are a plus.
