Mysterious Ways: True Stories of the Miraculous

I'm giving this book, at most, 2 1/2 stars. Several of the stories are very inspirational/miraculous but several are downright depressing. I'm not even halfway through the book & I keep on reading one depressing story after another...what were the editors thinking by publishing these stories??? Wish I knew! The first several brought tears to my eyes (in a good way). But, there are so many after those stories that are the complete opposite...I'm baffled! I'm not sure if I'll keep reading or not; that's how sad they are. Just very lonely women trying their best just to get through a normal day. Some families even struggle to put food on the table (for example, there's a family of a single mother with 3 young children who just barely have enough to eat (every day). Friends & Neighbors keep offering the mother a fish. That's all, nothing else. Just a fish that they caught & don't want/need. And the mother keeps thinking how fortunate they are. They don't sound at all fortunate to me. No one is offering to help out any other way. To me, that's really pathetic and very sad! The family was abandoned by her husband & he left them to fend for themselves. No alimony, no child support. If that's not depressing/sad I don't know what is.

These true stories have reminded me how the Lord watches over us and most of the time we don't even realize it. When something happens that we don't have any control over, we call the solution "miraculous" when in fact it might just be a normal day with the Lord. Thanks for writing these accounts to encouraging my faith.

I always enjoyed His Mysterious Ways in Guidepost Magazine! I was very happy to see the stories in book form.

Bought this for my sister for Christmas. She had been searching locally for this book with no luck. She was excited when she opened her gift.

Amazing book! Once you start reading it, I find it hard to put it down. I’d highly recommend it to anyone.
