Bright UV for easy pet & other stain detection
HOW WELL DOES THIS LIGHT WORK? So you think you have a clean house, do you? Take a shine around your house and be ready to be surprised (shocked is more accurate). As tested with initial 4.18 volts this is a very bright UV flashlight and is demonstrating very adequate illumination as the charge wears down. In other words, it is a good UV light source that easily finds pet and other stains/markers. I tested the revealing qualities of this light in several areas of my house including a recently trimmed door in my closet. I found a world of change between typical room lighting and the light provided by this flashlight. (SEE PHOTOS) As a side note, we used another model flashlight for UV detection while on a cruise ship and found that they did a super stellar job of cleaning and laundering just about everything. Point being, this flashlight can also provide peace of mind in some instances.HICCUP - First flashlight I received did not work. Replacement arrived, and in case it matters to you, the advertised AC-120v to USB adapter (cube) was not provided in either flashlight kit. Like most people, I have many adapter cubes however I feel that the product listing or contents of the kit should be revised for the sake of accuracy.PUT INTO USE - Package received included nylon sheath, yellow glasses, USB-A to USB-C cable, and the flashlight with USB-C charging port. I plugged the provided charging cable into a wall outlet that also has USB-A charging ports which commonly provide DC-5v capabilities. I checked the battery with one of my multimeters to find that the DC-3.6v battery had overcharged to 4.18v. With all the news about Lithium batteries exploding cars, and the warnings on shipping boxes, I contacted the seller who responded same-day with a very reasonable reply (see end of this review).Other observations include noticing that the flashlight does get warm during use. Even the UV light emitted from the flashlight causes a warming sensation if shined directly on skin. NOT shining the UV light on anyone’s skin and especially NOT where directly or reflected into anyone’s eyes is important.UPDATE: See comment from seller regarding charging.FROM THE SELLER:Thank you for contacting us regarding the details of our product. We understand your concerns and we are glad to further explain. We have consulted with our technical department, and they have tested the product before it was introduced to the market.Regarding our B16 UV flashlight: The maximum voltage reaches up to 4.2V. When the battery is fully charged, if it continues to charge, the voltage will peak at approximately 4.25V and will not increase further. Therefore, the maximum voltage is essentially 4.2V. We recommend not charging overnight and disconnecting the battery once it is fully charged to ensure longer battery life and enhanced safety. We have made significant efforts to listen to our buyers' feedback and strive to provide better products. Thank you for your support. Best regards, Beam of DAKELIIn summary, I like the flashlight and will likely add it to my travel kit or something similar. I’d also like to try it as a curing acceleration for plastic resins too so I’ll look for that kind of materials for experimentation. Thank you.

Excellent light for viewing sea glass!
This light works well for viewing sea glass. Can really see uranium glass with it.

Not bright
I like it. Got it to rock hunt with my son but it's not bright enough.

Glitchy switch
This is a powerful 365 nm UV light. Or it was- for the few minutes that it worked. On the same evening that I received it, the switch started to get glitchy- not turning on half the time - or turning on but with the red led indicator showing a low battery - even with a freshly charged battery. Then it wouldn’t turn on at all. Click, click, click - would not turn on. I thought this would be an upgrade from my two other Darkbeam UV lights that cost less than half as much. Apparently not.Update: Seller made good on the warranty by sending me a replacement which works perfectly. I returned the faulty unit. The replacement works as expected- it is a powerful 365 nm UV light, so be careful not to shine it in anyone’s eyes. Being 365 nm and having a dark lens filter, there is hardly any visible light- which makes fluorescing items stand out very well. Highly recommended this UV light and this seller.

Compact and bright ultraviolet flashlight
Quality: The Darkbeam ultraviolet flashlight is well made. The case is made of thick aluminum and has the feel of a hefty flashlight. The on/off switch is pushbutton with a nice tactile feedback. The supplied battery appears to be a high-output Li:Ion type and can be replaced if necessary. The case is made of high-quality nylon mesh that can attach to a belt.Functionality: The UV flashlight puts out a beam that illuminates objects across a dark room. Charging the unit is accomplished by plugging the flashlight (USB-C) into a standard USB-A charger. The power LED indicates when the unit is charging and when charging is complete. The flashlight was purchased to cure UV resin that requires light in the range of 200 nm to 400 nm. Since this unit puts out UV light at 395 nm, it is well suited for resin curing.

Lights stuff up
This little black light definitely shows stuff and makes it glow. It will highlight pieces of debris or white fibers in your blanket and carpet. It comes with a pair of yellow glasses which I’m not sure what purpose they serve. I tried them on and off and did not notice any difference in what I could see. It even has a carry case. I don’t really see me using it because honestly unless it was my job to walk around find what highlighted and cleaning it I really don’t have a reason to hook it to my person. It has a rechargeable cord which is great. No batteries needed. I’m getting quite the collection of charging cords, but still it’s better than sucking down batteries. I look forward to exploring my house and seeing what surprises lurk where I can’t see them.

Turned on twice and no longer works.
The media could not be loaded. 30 day return. Get your 30 days worth because I literally turned this thing on twice and it quit working. It may look like the real deal but this one is junk. The only light I've plugged directly into the charging source and it still won't work. I'll never buy another one of these. Instead of an exchange, Amazon offered me to go ahead and return it with a $5.00 restocking fee for a defective item. Don't buy this junk.
