A55 Sport Climbs: North Wales Rock Climbing Paperback – 6 Dec. 2011

Good, helpful guide book - my first one so I've a limited frame of reference. Some very useful general information followed by good descriptions and photographs of different sport routes. There are photographs of each wall (although not always titled, which can cause a bit of head scratching), annotated with routes, including bolt positions. I found the book to be well laid out, detailing grades, number of bolts, height (where known) and quality of each route.

Good little guide. I was able to find a couple of the crags in this book fairly easy. Obviously the routes mentioned can only be a snapshot of what is up there at the time of writing. At Castle Inn a number of new routes have been added and this is probably true for a other crags too. The second edition has a red-ish cover, look out for that one as it is more up to date.

Great collection bundling together all sorts of recent additions from local activists. A useful collection for anyone too old, too new or too lazy to operate in the higher grades most UK sport climbing destinations demand. A couple of trips and I've already had my money's worth - thanks!

Just received the book, so not had a chance to put it to use yet. But what a book! Really well produced, with clear pictures of crags and routes, including bolt placements for most of the routes, which is a nice touch and unusual from what I have seen of other guide books. Definitely worth a buy!

Great book, not taken it out to any climbs yet but looking through can certainly say that it is up there with any Rockfax books for clarity and user friendliness. Would recommend it to others.

Great book but really high grades. Not efficient for me.

Lists only the sport climbs so no need to try and work out which ones are trad / which are sport.
