Wide compatibility comes with a drawback
The media could not be loaded. So I saw the other review and wondered what could possibly be the problem, and now I know. Due to these needing to be compatible with various cameras, it does stick out and it is a bit loose.I've added a video to show this. There's just enough play to let moisture and dust in.I think for an emergency cover these would do OK, but if I'm going to be more confident I would suggest just getting the hot shoe covers that work with your camera.

Does not fit Canon EOS R6. Stops short of clipping in, so around 2mm of the bit shoe remains exposed.

Does it's job, depending on your camera model
This hot shoe cover did not slide properly onto my Canon 90D, it fell short of completely covering the hot shoe plate (as seen in the photos I have attached). I did try it also on my Canon 70D and it attached all the way correctly. When I looked at the rear end of the hot shoe, where the cover slides in from, the 90D has a raised ridge whereas the 70D is completely flat (see first 2 photos for the difference).It's providing partial coverage of the hot shoe on the 90D so I'll leave it in situ. You may, however, want to check your camera before ordering, if there is a ridge then you will have to accept the cover's shortcomings.
