Zunächst mal: Wenn man Größe 46,5 gemäß Auswahl bestellt, dann möchte man keine 47er erhalten. Wenn es diese Halbgröße nicht gibt, dann bitte nicht anbieten! Entsprechend sind die Stiefel viel zu groß.Darüberhinaus ist der Schaft höher als 8 Inch - ich messe über 9, das wirkt sich immens auf die Bewegungsfreiheit aus. Zudem ist das Material hat wie Sattelleder. Kein Laufkomfort, Sprunggelenksschmerzen sind das Resultat. Zuguterletzt: Die Sohle ist null flexibel und ganz sicher NICHT durchtrittssicher. Leider habe ich den Stiefel beim Probelauf eingesaut, sonst würde ich ihn postwendend zurückschicken.

I bought these to ride my motorcycle in ... I wanted something lightweight with a thick sole. These so fit the bill for me. Once laced up to be comfortable, you just use the zipper to put them on and take them off. They have outstanding cushioning inside and are very comfortable for me to walk in (I'm a big guy, 6'2" and 270 lbs). While I am pretty much the definition of a 'human sloth' today, I could most certainly see me running in these (there was a time in my life when I did that in combat/tactical boots).Now, in all fairness, I've only worn them about a half a dozen times, but it was in street traffic (a lot of feet hitting the pavement/asphalt, shifting [toe and heal], breaking, etc). We're talking 15 or so hours ... and they are still like new. On hot days, they can get warm, but no worse than hand other boot or footwear of this type.I do suspect they are not leather, in fact I'm convinced of it ... so only time will tell how they hold up.If they start falling apart on me I will update this review. I buy a lot of crap on Amazon, I only review what I think is a good product or value.

These boots are great. At size 13 they fit perfectly with just enough wiggle room for my toes. My feet aren’t too arched but support was never an issue with these. I bought these boots back in Oct. 2020 and have worn them every day since. They are pretty worn down now. I walked miles to and from work every day, rain or snow they worked great. Only “problem” is they squeak on some floors, I thought it would go away with wearing them down but it never did. All in all, amazing boots. 4/5 will buy them again.

I wear Bates boots on my motorcycle and this is my third pair

I bought theses boots mainly for motorcycle riding. I won't be wearing them every day or working in them, except maybe as a backup pair. I wasn't sure what size to order since manufacturer's sizes vary, and i had never owned any Bates products. I normally wear size 12 to 13, depending on brand & style, so I ordered 13 & didn't opt for the extra-wide width. They're just about a perfect fit, a little extra room in the length, but not enough to warrant exchanging for a smaller size. If these were going to be every day work boots with a lot of hours on the ground, I might've looked at something more expensive, but for my use, the under $100 price makes them just about perfect! 5 Stars
