Lychee Neon Light El Wire15 ft 5 m Neon Glowing Strobing Electroluminescent Wire with 3 Modes for Halloween Christmas Party Decoration Home Improvement (Orange)

Bought this to decorate a bedroom with coloured light as an experiment. The wire is quite stiff and seems to survive bending past 90 degrees. I think that it would be a bit too stiff to attach to clothing if you wish to have a number of colours of wire on small areas and want to move about a lot. The battery pack is just a little wider than 2 AA batteries and about 3cm longer and the flash rates are fine for effects. The light output is low and will only be effective in very low light or complete darkness. EL splitter cables are available (search on Amazon) allowing 2,3 and 4 cables to be connected to a single supply which means you don't have to have numerous battery boxes though I don't know how this will affect brightness or battery life. Overall great for a static display but less so for clothing etc.Addition,The EL wire can be cut easily and it is possible to use the spare wire by soldering to the very thin wires inside. See Youtube or google for how to. You need to be good at soldering with a steady hand.

The quality of the light is pretty good and bright. Used it for a UV party to light up kitchen ceiling and also in a glow fun run to great effect. Sadly the controller clip snapped which was a bit of a pain during the run as it bounced inside a pocket and fell out instead and also it seems to turn itself off after a while. When I attached a different controller (I bought several) it works fine. I do find it's not as bright as the white so minus one star in comparison plus the switching itself off.

Worked really well for what I needed. The light is bright and very flexible. As others have mentioned there is a quiet high pitched buzzing when on, but since I was illuminating a lion dance drum it wasn't a problem. My only possible issue is that I ordered red light and it seems more orange in colour.

Very good lighting but could say in the discription does not coming with batteries or tape .Over all very good and it was money well spent

I bought it to put into my gaming PC, it wont show up your components or make anything illuminate something like the way LEDs would but i for what i wanted (to outline shapes in my computer) it works wonderfully and provides a sort of tron look to my PC (i haven't straightened out the wires yet)important to note:the white one is whiter irl than cameras depict it to beit also has coil whine which bothers my sister considerably (i have hearing problems so personally don't hear anything) this would also work wonders for making something like a bike visible after dark, but not for a diy lamp

Great little high lighting unit for anywhere. Whether in car or within a display unit, this device supplies sufficient mood lighting. Effect pleasing.
