Been saving for these for some while they work so well and look very stylish - a purchase for lifeVery pleased that they live up to the ‘hype’

I bought both the salt and pepper mill by Peugeot as I had been advised that the grinding mechanisms are second to none, robust and durable as well as being a classic design. I was not at all disappointed with the quality of the product and, on first inspection, they appear to be high quality. However, I was less than pleased with the product packaging. The original packaging of both mills had obviously been carelessly opened prior to dispatch and the cardboard packaging was damaged/torn and less than pristine. Had I not needed the mills immediately, I would have returned them. I emptied them of the salt and peppercorns they contained as I felt that the contents of the mills (which is of course foodstuff) could have been tampered with or contaminated in some way. This was very disappointing and clearly the boxes had not been vetted before packing by Amazon.

The one from Amazon came opened and packaging was damaged and peppercorns felt out to I returned it. Second one came and it was better although courier damaged the box. It wasn’t packaged properly. The third one a salt on I ordered from Selfridges was new. Full packaging. It was a plastic bag unlike the 2 from Amazon.The items work as well as the original wooden ones but look much nicer. I definitely recommend these peppercorn and salt grinders by Peugeot.

I am pleasantly surprised. Though I regard the price as expensive I suspect it will be easier to clean than the Peugeot wooden one it is to replace, which has stopped working after 2 years or so. Perhaps it only needs a clean. I use the Peugeot mills because I have had so much difficulty with other salt and pepper mills in the past nevertheless I don't feel I can give it 5 stars because of high price and lightweight feel and somewhat unhappy experience with the other wooden Peugeot Paris u'select Salt Mill

The item was clearly unpacked and used before, it came with pepper inside and packaging was not new

Unlike other salt & pepper mills, looks like these are built to last.

Great product. After years of buying cheaper alternatives and throwing them away after a few weeks, months or couple of years I decided to take the plunge – did my research, bought these. When you look at the sheer engineering of the grinding mechanisms, you can see that they built for purpose and to last. The adjustable fine to coarse settings are brilliant to use both on the table and when cooking.
