I pictured this being a decent product, but when I unpacked it, I found it exceeded expectations.Each individual piece was packed separately in a way that prevented any scratches or dings, so the whole unit arrived in very nice shape. The wood is solid, apparently hardwood, and is finished with a bit of burled looked that's nicer than flat brown close up. It came with instructions for assembly, but they proved to be unneeded once I understood which pieces were which: the smallest are the coat hooks or branches; the fattest is the base; the second-smallest are the three legs; and the rest make up the "trunk." It's fairly obvious how everything screws together, no tools are required, and it goes together quickly and easily.The whole unit feels solid and stable. When I put a single, heavy-ish coat on it, weighing down one side, it didn't tip or wobble at all.The rack is a little shorter than I was picturing; it's roughly 5'10", and I think I was picturing something 6-8" taller, but I've very happy with it as it is and definitely recommend it.

Very pleased & am going to buy another when I decide which color to pick. I bought the brown one & it is not as dark of a brown as in the photo but still is a dark brown with a little bit of red tone in it. Packaging was fantastic. I was a little worried initially as what turned out to be the outer box was dented up, but the inside box was fine. All the parts are wrapped in bubble wrap and identified with alphabetical numbers. The directions are pretty good & the hardware is in a red bag with a huge tag on it. The little round wire circle with one end over the other is a type of spacer that you put between the bottom screw head & the washer. That is not clear in the written directions but is drawn in if you look closely. Probably added later. Also what initially looks like a square of cardboard in the hardware bag is a pop out circular additional cushion button for the bottom center of the base. (The base has other cushions on the bottom already installed.) It did go together easily & I hate assembling furniture. I am not sure how much weight it will hold but I bought it mostly for lighter jackets & hoodies. I figure when I have to wear my parka I could just throw it over the top vertical post if I need it to dry off. Beats the heck out of throwing my parka over the vacuum cleaner which was my late husband's standard joke that I only used our vacuum as a coat rack! It is real wood as far as I can tell except the base is that manufactured wood but it looks good. There were a couple minor imperfections in the base's finish but nothing that anybody will notice. The base is nice & heavy & I was looking for a flat base so as to avoid tripping. It does not look cheap either & the price is very reasonable for the quality of the product.

The coat rack was easy to put together and has greatly reduced the tightness of the many coats stored in our small coat closet. This rack is strong and works well for us right by our entrance door.

Set up was super easy- Just screw the large parts together and you're done. I was a little concerned bc the finished rack wobbled a little... but as soon as I added more coats, it helped hold down the rack nicely. I will say that if you're putting heavy coats, it's best to place them where the weight will even out. Otherwise, it WILL wobble. I haven't had any incidents with it tipping.The white finish has held up nicely in my room and looks aesthetic when it's not fully packed with coats. The price is decent and while it's not the MOST heavy duty, I think it has done the job holding up all my coats.

This coat tree is exactly what I was looking for. The color is just as shown and it took me about three minutes to assemble it. I particularly like that there were around it ends on each of the branches of the tree. My previous Cotte tree tended to poke holes and whatever was hung on it, I don’t think that will be a problem with this one. I plan to buy another one for my guest room.

I love this coat rack so much! It holds a lot of coats (even heavy ones!) and other items. It's very nice looking, so I'm looking forward to spring so I can actually see it again, haha! I love how the top swivels around, so if something is in the back, I just give it a twirl, and there it is! You can put beanies & hats on the top knob, too! Love this!

I needed the coat tree to easily access the most frequently used handbags and hats (FYI: I do not use it for my coats to better main their shape). Depending on how you arrange your coats/hats/handbags, it is easy to achieve the balance. It is a bit lighter than the more expensive options, but sturdy enough. It took me a few minutes to assemble it. Be careful with the force you applied if you are a perfectionist because a small or maybe negligible amount of coat might come off.

I can't say enough about this coat tree! EXCELLENT in every way! The round bottom keeps it sturdy, less likely to tilt if items not distributed easily, and not a trip hazard like it would be if it had legs sticking out - I have it in a spot where that could be a possibility, but the flat bottom makes it safe. The color is excellent, putting it together is simple if you can read, and the quality of the craftsmanship is amazing. Less expensive does NOT mean cheap in this case, and this is the second one I am buying. It will be a gift for my sons home.
