worked correctly right out of the box, but not sure how long they will last. a nice finish to them and they function as they are suppose to but can't comment on how long they will last before failure.

I had to replace two Lift-O-Mat 60LBS lift springs. The new ones don't have any specs labels or printing on them, they don't lift the hood they way Lift-O-Mat lift springs did for the last 10 years. I do have to help with both hands to lift the hood like crazy, my wife is not able to lift the hood. Finally while closing the hood, the whole thing just smashes to the bottom, I opened the hood just ones and it was clear, they don't work...they work like the old and defective Lift-O-Mat's.I do order and try the "80LBS" lift springs from this NoName? brand... have to return the 60's first.

Used for the front storage compartment for my 5th wheel which did not come with struts. 30lb struts fit perfect and hold the door open without a problem. 20lb struts would also have worked. I had to buy the mounting brackets separately which was not a problem, however I think the two items should be offered as a package also as an option.

My only problem with them is due to my own incorrect ordering. I should have gotten the 20 pound version. You really have to work at it to close my RV door. But, in my experience, they don't last long, so when I need new ones, I'll order the right ones.Installation is easy, and they do what they're supposed to do.
