i'm usingthese hoops for hand embroidery and so far I have no complaints to male. I like the bonus screwdriver I wasn't expecting. I like to bind the inner hoop with soft cotton tape to reduce fabric bruising and hold in taut all around. The screwdriver makes it east to tighten for a nice drumtight fabric to work on. It also allows me to loosen the tension when I have to put it away for a bit. It lessond the permanet round circle some fabrics retain nomatter how much ironing you do, turn your backand it's back again.Ihave a number ofembroideries that take an 8" hoop. I will be gifting them in the hoop as a frame.Not 100% sue on that and may do a more traditional mat boardand frame. I may paint the outer edges or add some lacedecorationSo Im all set.

I bought these for handmade dream catcher's for my self. There the right size and will work for me.

They splinter. Be careful

Be prepared to sand these, a few came in rough shape with splintered wood sticking out.
