CPAP Tubes Compared: Which is best?
I’m several months into CPAP. My original tubing was from Resmed and I never thought replacing it might be an issue until it eventually began to wear. Although I’m well-covered by insurance, my experience dealing with the assigned “DME” health care provider has been beyond frustrating. They sent Resmed’s slimline not-heated tube but I do not care for its “kinkiness” as compared with the standard (and expensive) Resmed tube which is marketed in both 6’ and 6’ 6” models. This began a comparison quest which I hope may be of assistance to other CPAP users. For what I’m learned please read on for the tops in tubes:In my own experience and in reading others’ reviews of non-heated CPAP tubes, flexibility seems to be the most cited key to overnight comfort. Durability is also of some concern to some users while others complain about the smell of some tubing, too. In alphabetical order, here are the brands I have auditioned to find a good match for the overpriced Resmed tubing at as low as 25% the cost:BistrasMars WellnessOmotiyaSleep HabitsSnaretSnugellSunsetThe main thing learned: My nights are far more uncomfortable with tubes that are softer and less stiff. These gently curve rather than change shape at abrupt angles. The Snugell and Sunset tied as near perfect—superb at a terrific price, too. In fact, I believe both of these Chinese made tubes are exactly the same. Everything is near identical right down to the white rubber band used. By the way, the Snugell I received is gray and not white as pictured and described by some others. I’ve had good experiences with other Snugell products, too.If you are looking for a USA made tube, the Bristras and Snaret are stiffer than my favorite two but most would approve, particularly of the Snaret. I’d go as far as to describe the Bistras as “erect” with the well-made Snaret still less pliable than the Snugell and Sunset tubes. Mars Wellness seemed flexible upon first impression but turned out to have a “kink” I never expected from an overnight bed partner. The heaviest weight was the Omitiya that is the only tubing that comes in a reusable zipper bag. At the other end of the scale, the only one I truly do not recommend is the most brittle tube by Sleep Habits.Do any of these stink? No. All smelled just fine with no odor issues detected. To further enhance a good night’s sleep, I am also a huge fan of the sleek “Medihealer CPAP Hose Cover” made for non-heated tubing. It is not the typical felt style making it less puffy and lighter in weight while fully eliminating noise.Sending my best to you and yours for many thousands of relaxing and healthy nights ahead!

Good substitute
The hose is a little stiffer but very usable . I like it better than the Respironics brand because the connector on each end is easier to insert on the machine and the mask fitting. So far so good , used for about 6 months . A good purchase.
