I'm about halfway through this book, and I really like it. It has helped me reboot my prayer journey, which had become stale. The author is transparent, encouraging, inspiring, and informative. The devotions are great little nuggets to start off my day, but they are also profound lessons in prayer––how to center oneself, how to be quiet and listen for God, how to carve out time and attention to pray to AND to listen to God. The author's prayer life is one to aspire to, and I'm extremely happy that she wrote this book.

I'm going through Adventures in Prayer with my small group and it has put a new sense of expectations in our praying and drawn us closer to the Lord. I love the personal stories, the scriptures, and the application to walk us through praying our message to God each day. An absolute must read if you want to grow in your relationship with the Lord and strengthen your prayer life. The title is so appropriate because life with God should be an adventure!
