The electric pet fence works great for my boy. It was so easy to install and my dog caught onnso quick to the boundary lines. It didn't take much. We are now ablento let him roam free on our property with no issues of him getting away. It makes a world of difference to him and us.Overall, I was against such things in the past but this is the best thing that could happen to my boy because it guarantees his safety and security. We've had no issues with it not working so far andnit has been installed for several months now. I would highly recommend this electric pet fence.

This did not work for us. Our new dog Marley was able to run hit the fence and get over it so quickly it didn't seem to faze her. In the products defense in our frenzy to keep her contained we may not have taken the training time needed to properly teach her. We finally put up a hot wire which has finally stopped her escapes. Overall I think the product is well made just can't speak to its effectiveness in our situation.

It shocked my dog way before he even got to the line I wanted to just fence in my half acre ti keep him in but it drastically limits his range if you have a gigantic peice of land where you can put it far out maybe it will work for you

I have a dog that weight between 80- 120lbsand the collar doesn't adjust to fit his nect so he cracked the part that snaps together

The only problem I had was keeping it dry from the rain. Any possible shelter is in the middle of the yard (house, garage), and I don't want to run wires through the yard. I want to run wires around the yard.My dog is a digger and an escape artist. For some reason, during thunderstorms, he goes nuts, runs outside, and desperately tries to escape. I've done a lot to thwart him, but he finds a way. I need this despite having buried chicken wire around the fence, buried pipes below each gate, used ground stakes every foot or so around the fence.I installed it with the main box covered but out in the open attached to the fence. I had to use the method of looping the wire back along the same path to the box. I wish I could use a wide loop around the entire yard, but that would make my dog fearful to use a gate when I want him to.I've installed this to try it out, and it works. To give me the coverage that I want, though, I will have to buy a lot more wire. Using the loop back method, I can cover all of my yard, except one walk-through gate, and another three feet. I'll leave that gate uncovered so the dog does not fear walking through it. The extra three feet is just a small portion between the house and that gate. I hope the system can handle that length of wire.

I really think this is a nice product for the price I paid. It would be better if both collars worked. I contacted customer support many times and got nowhere. I already installed so I just need to exchange one collar so I can properly protect my dogs.
