Saw this originally in Bed, Bath, & Beyond, years ago when their then-$40 cost was a serious investment for me. I've now bought myself 4 of them, left 1 across the country with family, & presented a few to co-workers who also deserve to feel better.There's a distinct sense of the plastic cup holding me up, in a perfectly comfortable but very evident way- but going over the surface with my fingers, nothing protrudes or seems oddly shaped. The minimal literature attached says this device supports the pelvis to sit at a different, healthier angle. Perhaps it does.What is certain is the sciatic pain which made me miserable before my habitual use of a BackJoy gradually or sometimes vividly returns when I sit without it. I drive with one under me, and sit at computers w another one. Hope your experience is as positive as mine has been!

For a few years I’ve had sacroiliac joint pain. Sitting for long periods (at a desk or on an airplane) would flare up the pain so bad it would last for days afterwards. The pain can knock me out for days after sitting for a long period. A 9 hour flight ruined half of my vacation. This is no replacement for stretching and physical therapy BUT it does relieve some of the discomfort and allows me to sit for longer periods without excruciating pain. I still get pain when I sit on this for long periods but it isn’t as intense. If you’ve ever had sacroiliac joint pain you know that anything that helps AT ALL is welcome. This helps significantly, it does not take away all the pain but it does help and that’s as much as I can expect from a product. I wish I had it on my vacation. I use it at my desk, but it can also be used in a car, plane or anywhere else that is uncomfortable. Worth every penny.

I bought this on a recommendation and it is very uncomfortable and did not help with spine and hip pain, only made it worse

I bought this product and put it on my office chair.I've been suffered with back pain due to my bad posture and hard work out.Using this is not joyful... little bit painful.But I think it works and I can feel my back getting stronger than before.I hope I could get better posture few days later.

I desperately needed some type of seat with cushion for pain relief. Sitting for long periods can trigger a lot of serious pain. I have had 2 back surgeries from broken pelvis. After using this all day I could tell it was an answer to my prayer. It's lighweight, durable, and comfortable, and relieves pain. I bought the s/med. I am a size 10. I am thrilled I found this. It is worth every penny!!!

Over the past several years I have had sciatic issues, alignment and SI joint problems. I've noticed after using the BackJoy, those problems are lessening. At first it felt rather strange sitting on it, even like I was shifted off to the side. Even after standing, the same feeling. But I realized that prior to the BackJoy I was shifted the opposite way and the BackJoy was helping me to align properly. All the other pains are slowly subsiding. Thank you!

Less pain and very comfortable. I can now travel with ease. Great product.
