Well I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and ease this was to put together. The metal edges holding the wood in place and the easy opening design roof with locking hinges was a nice touch the vented floor was also an excellent way to get rid of any water condensation the clear wind flaps on the door opening was also a nice touch. My son and I put it together on top of our picnic table for ease of assembly and it went much faster than I thought it would. Now we're not using it for a dog house but for our pet goose so we put wood shavings in the bottom of it, so the locking roof makes a great way to clean them out quickly. The clear plastic hangers for the wind we tucked up under the roof until she gets used to going in and out then we lowered the outer two for her to get used to pushing between them by winter they all will be down and she'll get the idea of pushing through them. Our kittens who like to sleep with our goose found out about it and were using it in just hours after setting it up. It has an asphalt ceiling so it should last a long time to come. The latch on the roof was a nice touch too! It's not insulated otherwise I'd have given it a 5 out of 5 for weather proof.

I'm impressed with the quality of this dog house. I actually got it for a rescued mini pig so I chose this one out of all the options because they said it can hold up to 180lbs. She's just a baby now and I have no idea what her final size will be and if she will still fit inside, but her weight should never exceed that.It was easy to put together with all the parts organized and well marked. The instructions are simple and clear. The metal is the nice strong powder coated stuff they make parrot cages out of and the wood is cedar. It's well made and packaged nicely. Nothing loose and banging around, no bent metal or missing hardware, as frequently happens with items like this.I purposely left the flap off for now since I live in the desert and we're in the 95-110 summer temperature range, but that piece is also good quality. The wood smells amazing and the piggy loves it. I put some timothy hay inside along with her blankie and squishmallow and she went right in and put herself to bed. We're both very pleased with my purchase.

I bought the largest size so both my dogs could hopefully fit in it. Both dogs are between 80-90lbs and could fit if curled up, probably not stretched out. See pic for size comparison.First off, I put this together myself but would highly recommend having a second person just because the pieces are heavy enough and cumbersome. Especially when you start putting the roof on. Having someone to hold it open would’ve been nice. Also power tools are required for most of the assembly.Second, Weight limit says 180lbs and although I weight about 40lbs less than that, the floor felt really sturdy when I had to stand on it to put the roof on.Third, some of the instructions are confusing and I had to start over once. Also right off the bat I had to strip some of the plastic from the footings to be able to put the metal corner pieces in them (was literally the first two steps).Fourth, the insulation is nice because it has zippers that you can unzip and put in the wash if needed.Overall I would buy again but definitely do a few things differently

Helps protect from heat and cold

Bought the house because it said it was insulated, but it is not insulated!!! The material used for it is very thin and the floor are just boards sitting about half an inch apart!!! Not for use in the winter!!!

Screw holes did not line up on all the parts.Took it to a fabricator to put it togather.

Love everything. Its exactly what the pictures show. The sizing is perfect as well. Big enough for my medium to large sized dog. I didn’t realize it comes with the clear cover for the doorway so that was a nice surprise definitely would recommend.
