Spear & Jackson 500W 51cm Hedge Trimmer with 20mm Tooth Gap - Ideal for overhead cutting

I've had the trimmer for over a year, used it weekly through out the season and its always cut well with no issues apart from the cable, I found the mid line plug clumpy and in the way and keep dropping out with the slightest tension,, However when I accidentally cut the cord "again", I decided to take it all out and rewire as a standard corded trimmer and now it a lot easier

I liked the gap between the teeth to cut through bigger twigs(?). The length of the blade is just right for the weight ratio.

While I liked the design, and its also light - it is very plasticy, and not reliable. My worked for all of 5 minutes before dying. If you shake it, it works for a second oor so, then dies again. Looks to me like a faulty switch mechanism. I'm returning it for a full refund.Its a shame, because for a cheap trimmer otherwise its ok. The detatchable cable uses a european plug. The large tooth gap is good too. But its very noisy.

Powerful yet reasonably light weight

Ideal Hedge trimmer for my small privet hedges, just the job!Really light weight machine, used it on my pergola above head height, easy to use on all angles...easy!

Love this product! Its very light but still very powerful. I used it to cut my high bushes in the garden and as it was so light it was easy to cut overhead. I also loved the handle as it wraps around which makes it easy to cut in different angles. The extension lead idea is quite novel and a reassurance that if I do cut the cord, I only replace the extension cable. Just feels like a quality product.

Works well for the price.
