Fun little cannon.
This cannon is a fun little thing to play with. It works exactly like it was described. It seems to be very well built and is definitely worth the price.

Office Desktop Miniature Artillery Cannon
This is a very interesting little desktop cannon model. To me, it looks like what was called the Canon obusier de 12cm, modèle 1853, or the Napolean, named after a nephew of "the" Napolean. Whichever specific cannon this is a replica of is well done. There are only 4 pieces to this. The carriage, barrel, chamber (lots of names) and the screw that holds the barrel to the carriage. The finish work on this is exemplary. It is made of metal and feels very nice. And the wheels do roll. As a gift, I say more certainly yes.

Great Little Display Piece
I'll admit, I'm not brave enough to fire this...yet.But, as a bit of a collector, the accuracy and the knowledge that it COULD be fired one day makes it extra fun. They've got all the little details you'd want in a replica. It's nicely weighted, so I know it could handle the pressure from a small cannon cracker load inside. If you're a Civil War or military collector (or if you know someone who is), this is a great gift, especially if you bundle it with a few appropriately sized "crackers" for it.Lots of fun as a functional piece or display piece.
