Indian Almond, also known as Ketapang or Catappa leaves, are becoming very popular amongst fish keepers/breeders around the world. They act as a natural medicine and water conditioner in aquariums. They are believed to benefit tropical fish and shrimp in a number of ways, promoting fertility, health, and vigour. Almond leaves reduce pH in water, and have been known to assist the recovery of diseased fish. The tannin released also tints the water. Adding Indian Almond Leaves to your aqurium will release compounds by the leaves which alter the chemistry of the water, making the fish tank similar to the natural habitat of the fish. Catappa leaves are used commonly with siamese fighting fish (betta), discus, gouramis, tetras, arrowana's, angelfish, South American cichlids, corys, plecs, crustaceans, and shrimps. They also provide natural cover. Pack of approx 20 large leaves supplied. Average size 10-20cm each.
