Creamy toner
I really like this toner. It is unusual in that it is creamy and has a thicker texture and looks almost like a very light lotion. While some toners can feel drying, this toner leaves my skin feeling very hydrated and soft. This is the perfect toner for drier skin. It is the first moisturizing step in my nightly facial routine. I feel like it sets up my skin perfectly for the rest of my serums and creams. This toner has no scent which is nice. The texture allows for easy application with a cotton square. It is mild on my skin and hasn't caused any irritation or redness. While most of the writing on the box is in Korean, it does include a list of ingredients in English on the side. This toner has a variety of ceramides to protect the skin barrier which is evident in the way it leaves my skin looking and feeling after use.Overall, I am a huge fan of this toner and will continue to use it in my daily facial routine because I like the effect is has on my skin. Especially in colder, drier weather, this moisturizing toner is an important step in keeping my skin looking and feeling its best. I also think you get a nice sized bottle for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this toner especially if you have drier skin.

Pleasant toner/essence, but watch out for the bottle
This review is for the BRTC Ceramide 3days Toner (150ml, 5.70 fl.oz).So, bad news off the bat: even though the box still had its security stickers, the bottle inside arrived partly unscrewed. It was pretty gross to take it out of the box, tbh. After playing around with the cap & bottle, it did screw back in, but I can tell this is the kind of bottle that I would not trust to take traveling, lol.I know for many people that the product arriving partly open would be a deal-breaker, but, I dunno... ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ It really did seem like more of a bottle issue than some kind of tampering, so I'm being adventurous. ๐ FYI chronologically in the pics I shared, the messy leaky ones were the earliest pics, and then I cleaned the bottle and took the non-leaky pics.OK moving on:So from what I understand, "toner" and "essence" are generally considered to be different steps in skin care. Toner focuses more on cleansing and balancing the skin, while essence focuses more on hydrating and nourishing. Toners are usually watery and transparent, while essences are usually a slightly thicker consistency (though still liquid) and usually a more opaque white-ish color. Now, I know that these categories are super blurry and not super consistent. I mean, this product is literally called "essence toner." But, based on what I understand, I would call this more of an essence. So, I would cleanse, then tone, then essence, then serum, then moisturizer. Lol many steps I know.OK, so about the product itself:So, considering it as an essence, I really like this product! It is very lightweight, and very hydrating. It also feels sort of soothing, if that makes any sense? My guess is that sensation comes largely from the ceramides. Regardless of which ingredients did it, this toner feels very gentle, which is important to me as someone with sensitive skin.It is definitely a quite liquidy consistency, but IMO that's part of what makes it lightweight. It sinks into my skin pretty rapidly. I've taken to slapping it on my face first thing after I exit the shower to keep some of that hydration in.Overall, I really like this product. Personally, I'd call it an "essence." And be careful of the bottle!==================Here is the ingredients listing from the box:INGREDIENTS |WATER, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL, PROPANEDIOL, GLYCERIN, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, BETAINE, GLYCOSYL TREHALOSE, HYDROGENATED STARCH HYDROLYSATE, DIPHENYL DIMETHICONE, PANTHENOL, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRAISOSTEARATE, TRIETHYLHEXANOIN, CERAMIDE NP(250 ppm), CERAMIDE NS(0.015 ppm), CERAMIDE AP (0.005 ppm), CERAMIDE AS(0.005 ppm), CERAMIDE EOP(0.00001 ppm), GARDENIA FLORIDA FRUIT EXTRACT, THEOBROMA CACAO (COCOA) SEED EXTRACT, HYDROGENATED LECITHIN, LACTOBACILLUS FERMENT LYSATE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, ACRYLA TES/C10-30 ALKYLACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, ARGININE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, CHOLESTEROL, DEXTRIN, DISODIUM EDTA, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, GLYCERYL POLYMETHACRYLATE, OCTYLDODECANOL, PHYTOSPHINGOSINE, POLYGLYCERYL-10 MYRISTATE, POLYGLYCERYL-10 OLEATE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 LAURATE, POLYGLYCERYL-6 DIOLEATE, STEARIC ACID, XANTHAN GUM

Great Ingredients
I did two ingredient checkers and only one came back poor and it was so far down in the ingredient list that it doesn't even matter. All the other stuff in this baby are all very great stuff to put on your face. The dry down does get a touch tacky though so it'd be a amazing primer for make up but the tackiness does go away completely on its own too!I did patch test on the back of my hand and it went very well. The feeling of my hand versus the other who it was not applied to was noticeably different. The hand with toner was softer and smoother as the other one had more of a skin texture (weird to say I know). I found the fine lines in the hand with toner to be minimized compared too! The next day, the results still showed before I washed. This is actually a great product. I've never used BRTC before but I love Korean beauty and skincare. Its insanely high quality and well formulated and this is no different.Make sure you apply toner on a slightly damp face (not dry) to get the best effect.I think this toner can be applied through the day as a typical lotion. Infact, I am testing this out as my skin feels great applied in dry too.

Good hydrating toner, use between actives
This is a milky, thicker toner that almost has the consistency of an emulsion, aka a light lotion in Japanese and sometimes Korean skincare. This doesn't contain any exfoliants or acids so I find it perfect for protecting my skin between actives. Depending on what I need, I swap between retinol, bha/aha, and a prescription ointment, with a hydrating day in between. This is the perfect toner for that reset day, which is when my skin needs the most hydration. This is unscented and soothes the skin, light enough to soak in and provide hydration yet thick enough to give some protective layer while sleeping. If this is what you are looking for, I recommend.
