As an avid aficionado of Indian cuisine, I decided to start my small collection of Indian regional cookery books. "Cooking Delights of the Maharajas: Exotic Dishes from the Princely House of Sailana" should be in this collection. It is essential and compulsory reading with recipes from the Maharaja Saheb of Sailana—Digvijaya Singh-ji. This recipe book is not for the beginner. Although not necessary, it helps to know Romanized Hindi words, e.g. "elaichi" for "green cardamom" or other similar Hindi cooking terms and methods. "Bunao" means roast or "tadka" is tempering.I purchased my copy from Nitya Pushta Books International (formerly Trishoolin Book House) as an Amazon Marketplace item.
