Perfect
I ordered this Sougayilang Fishing Pole as an extra for guests. My son loved it so much that he asked if he could take it home with him! The rod is sturdy, the reel casts smoothly. I love the design-- it gives sort of a camo look. I will definitely order from this brand again.

I would put it up against any $100.00 dollar rod
I use to work for a outdoor store and took many of classes offered by the manufactures when asked by a costumer about what type of rod they should buy to use for artificial bit fishing? Besides the obvious that each rod has a specific use for a specific type of fishing lures. To simplify it I would tell them that a spinning rod is best suited for lighter lines and baits when used in the freshwater for a more finesse type of fishing. A baitcasting rod is more for pinpoint casts under trees, into docks and other areas easily. They will allow an angler to put optimum pressure on a fish when setting the hook in heavy cover. A spinning rod set up is a lot more forgiving when casting. Using a rod from shore fishing is whole nother entity.I chose the Spinning -7'0''-Medium-Fast 2pcs to use for throwing finesse jigs or light swim jigs, open hook soft swimbaits, unweighted plastics. Basically I wanted a rod that I can throw anything from 1/8th oz to 1/4oz lures. First impression on this rod is the feel nice and light the grip on this rod is extremely comfortable and reminds me of my putter grip. The two sections fit snug and straight again no slop, like other two piece rods. Considering that this is a mass produced the rod overall looks to be very well made. The rod is definitely a fast action rod and that will be needed when throwing unweighted soft plastics and small spinners. Looks are not important to me, but it is a very nice looking rod, the reel seat appears to be sturdy with no slop. To be honest the rod feel is very close to my St Croix rods. While the rod it not a St Croix or G. LOOMIS I would put it up against Shimano, Penn, Abu Garcia or Fenwick. Actually for the price of $57.98, I would put it up against any $100.00 dollar rod The only thing I would have liked to see is the guides on their fishing rod to be a little larger in their diameter, the guides look to be more of a baitcasting rod guides. But I am using it off my boat so the larger guides are not necessary since I won’t be casting any distance. I really recommend this rod.Because of the way this rod feels and the construction of it I am going to match it up with the Sougayilang GL2000 Energy GL spinning fishing reel. In hopes their reels are as well made as their rods.

Nice Fishing Rod, Incorrectly Assumed a Reel was Included
This is a very nice fishing rod and will stand up to the abuse most of our fishing equipment seems to be subjected to with only reasonable wear and tear. We did assume a reel was included with the rod, but alas, that is not the case. Fortunately, a reasonably priced reel was an easy find and within a couple extra days we were all set to go fishing. The rod performed perfectly. It doesn't do much. Just not break. So, Check. Mission accomplished. The more delicate parts all seem to be high quality and very durable. This rod will last through years of being toss into and out of the boat, the shed, the truck bed, etc.

Heavier than I expected.
For a light action pole, this rod is very heavy. I expect light action to also be light weight. It will work to catch fish though.

Nice stiff rod with some good sensitivity
Overall I like the look and feel of this rod. It is comfortable to hold with the rubber grip and EVA handle make casting very easy. The tip is sensitive enough to feel the little bites and the rod has a strong backbone to land the fish.My only complaint or word of caution is that when I connected the two pieces there was almost not moving or adjusting it. I didn't put any silicone on it prior to attaching the two pieces and probably should have just to be safe. Once I had the pieces connected I wasn't able to make much adjustments so just be cautious when connecting.Other than that one small issue which I haven't had with any other 2 piece rods I am enjoying using this rod.
