My grandson loved this book. The stories are varied and the pictures are great. It was a bit expensive but worth to have my grandson so delighted. Delivery was prompt. Very good service.

A beautifully illustrated book! I'm in love with how visually satisfying it is. And, the content and information provided is exactly what any fan of Norse Myth, new or old, could ask for!! Appropriate for people of all ages. Definitely recommend.

‘Norse Myths: Tales of Odin, Thor and Loki’, is a big, heavy book. It opens with a foreword by the author explaining exactly what Norse Myths are and how they came about. From their beliefs of Asgard, Midgard and Niflheim: The world below ruled by a half alive, half dead woman, to giants and dwarfs. The author also provides a detailed tree explaining the different realms.The book covers all the different tales, worlds, giants, gods and goddesses in simple to understand language that children will hopefully enjoy reading. There are some moments of violence, but none too grizzly, or over the top.There are also plenty of illustrations drawn throughout, mostly a dark grey/black smoky colour, which actually gives the pages a creepy look to them and breaks up the writing.I presume what most kids know about the title characters is from watching the Marvel Movies, but I doubt most children will know the real myths behind them, nor what they traditionally look like.This is a brilliantly executed book that covers so much information that I can see children talking about these myths, gods, goddesses, realms, long after they have closed the book.I do wonder though, with the illustrations being drawn traditionally how many children will find this book hard to comprehend, I mean seeing their favourite movie characters in a different light. There is also a lot of text, so I would say this book is best for children aged 9/10 years and above, though I’m certain there are a few adults who would love this book too.It is most certainly a fascinating read.Reviewed on Whispering Stories Book Blog*I received a free copy of this book, which I voluntarily reviewed

This a beautiful book, wonderfully written and the illustrations are as magical as the stories

I only order the book because husband found it in a book shop and said it might be a good bed time read with daughter, who is 8 likes good adventure and a story with proper story line. This book turns out to be the best surprise ever, we just LOVE it! We had so many lovely evening reading together. Once we started we didn't want to stop, I would recommend any day.

Only had a quick look as I'm giving it as a gift but from what I've seen it's beautiful and should be a very interesting read!

I bought this to read to my class, as they know nothing about the Norse myths. It's great for reading aloud - gripping and full of powerful imagery. The illustrations are gorgeous. Recommended.

Llevo toda mi vida leyendo comics y libros y desde que tengo hijos hace unos años he redescubierto el libro ilustrado.... Madre mía. Más allá de "libros del zorro rojo" (que tiene unas ediciones preciosas) en español no abundan tanto (o no las encuentro) estas "joyitas". Pero a poco que se indage un poco... nos podemos topar con esta maravilla.Gustará si te gusta N. Gaiman o El Señor de los anillos.Espero haya sido útil mi valoración

I bought this book because of the illustrator, Jeffrey Alan Love. It is everything I was hoping for, this book is amazing! Highly recommend!
